When we got to school 20 MINUTES EARLY because, someone needed to turn in her 26 essay's 3 weeks before the time that we needed to turn anything in but, when we got to the office to turn them in the office lady declared, "Emily, I have told you many times that it can only be 3 DAYS early not 3 weeks," she said hoping that Emily would leave the office. "Fine," said Emily, "that just gives me more time to write all the essay's that I want." "And it gives me time to write lots more," I muttered under my breath just smiling when Emily gave me that OMG TOTALLY look.

2 weeks and 4 days later

In 2 weeks and 4 days Emily managed to write 166 essays and I have only written 24 only because, when I wanted to hang out she would use that as an excuse to write more essays and not talk to me until I would write at least 2 or more. And if I had it my way I would have only written 4 like I wanted but, considering that Emily pretty much guaranteed that she was going to New York I wanted myself to be just as confident as she was so that we could go together, because the poster never said how many people could go or how many essay's people could turn it which was a big mistake on their part.

Exactly 3 days early like the office lady said. And as Emily spirited to the office with her blonde ponytail screaming bloody murder. And when she ran through the double doors and pushed like twelve people out of the way she found the office lady at her usual widow and declared, " I would like to turn all of these in for the contest to go to that school in New York, please." Then the office lady asked as if she were in shock, " How many essays did you write and how many pages do they have." "166 essay's with exactly 26 pages each." Emily said looking really disappointed that she didn't write more essays. "Oh my word," the office lady said looking like she just exploded." How many did you write Caryn?" she said with her hands intertwined together like she was praying that I didn't write 166 essay's like Emily. "I wrote 58 and they also have 26 pages each." I knew that because Emily made me count them in the car in front of her. " Would you guys want to combine all of your essay's so that if the principle likes even one of your essay's then you both would get to go to New York besides it is less paper work for me to do," she asked praying again." That is fine with me, what do you say Caryn?" she asked looking at me as if someone told her that she won the lottery. "I say," I said pausing to see the wonder on Emily's face. "Let's do it," I exclaimed as Emily grabbed my hands and started to jump up and down screamed with excitement. "When will we know the results of the contest?" We both asked the office lady in unison as we basically inside her widow. "Friday," the office lady said."Friday really we have wait for 4 days. That is a long time to wait."Emily and I both complained. "Yes friday and on friday morning I will announce it over the intercom," she promised as we climbed out of the widow and let her get back to her paperwork that she had to do for are essay's.

Over the 4 days that Emily and I had to wait to get the results of the essay contest for New York. She just sat in the corner of her peach and turquoise room and watched Gilmore Girls on Netflix every day after school and made a room design for our dorm room and where we are going to put everything and if there is going to be enough room everything that we both own, but after she did her homework of course. And after waiting for the 4 longest days of my life to finally end. It was FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!
