Carter's P.O.V.
I walk around the corner to see Mia and Justin making out and starting to lead to other things.
"Ummm..." I said awkwardly.
They both jumped and Mia jumped off of Justin's lap both of them wide eyed.
"Carter! What are you doing in here?!" Mia said nervously.
"Well I was looking for my best friend." I said rolling my eyes and crossing my arms. "What are YOU doing in here?"
"He forced me to do all of this." She said nervously.
"I don't believe that. You're such a fake. Bye. Don't ever talk to me again." I said walking away quickly wiping away my tears.
When I walked out of the gym, I walked straight out the front doors. I just wanted to go home. Unfortunately, the security decided that today would be the best day to block the exit. The security usually blocks the exit because there are to many people leaving school when they are not supposed to.
I walked back inside looking for Nicole. She always gave good advice and always cheered me up when no one else could. I finally found her at her locker. She spotted me and ran over to me.
"Carter! What's wrong?!" she asked concerned.
"Well I just found out that my best friend has been sneaking around with Justin."
"Forget her. You have us. If she would lie to you about that then she wasn't a true friend." Nicole said hugging me. "And, you have that huge crush on Jeydon." Said winking at me and going back to her locker.
That made me smile. I've had a crush on Jeydon since 9th grade and I'm now in 12th grade. He sometimes flirts with me. Speaking of Jeydon, I always go to him when I'm sad and he comforts me too. I like going to him more because he is my crush. I decided to go find Jeydon. I wanted to avoid the gym but he loves going in there to play basketball after lunch. When I walked in the gym, I saw Mia and Justin on the bleachers laughing and I saw Jeydon sitting in a chair at the other end of the gym. I didn't care if Mia and Justin seen me, I ran towards Jeydon. He looked up and saw me and stood up holding his arms out for me to hug him. I jumped in his arms and started crying. The laughing that I heard had stopped. I felt them staring at me. Jeydon sat me down and looked me in the eyes.
"Carter. What's wrong?!" he said in a concerned voice.
"My best friend and enemy was making out leading on to something more and caught them. The worst part is they sneaking around behind my back." I said starting to cry more. He just pulled me in a tight hug. I hugged him back tighter.
"I know what you can do to get your mind off of it!"
"What?" I mumbled.
"Play some basketball with me!" he said with hope in his voice.
"Fine." I said laughing a bit.
I got up and went to the locker room to change into some shorts and t-shirt. I was getting dressed when I heard the door open. I looked up to see Mia. I just rolled my eyes.
"Carter I'm really sorry." she said fiddling with the hem of her shirt.
"Whatever." I mumbled walking past her bumping her shoulder and walking out to Jeydon.
"Are you ready to be beat?" Jeydon yelled.
I just laughed. He started to run with the basketball when I came up beside him and took the ball and ran and shot it making a shot.
"You're so going to go down!" Jeydon said running after me. I laughed and ran away.
We were running for a while when I stopped to take a breath. Looked up to see Jeydon coming towards me smirking me. I started backing up until my back hit the wall. Damn wall. I looked up to see Jeydon's face just inches from mine. He started leaning closer and closer. I got impatient and closed the gap between us. His lips were soft and tasted like mint. I pull away to see him smiling at me. I look his shoulder to see Mia and Justin standing there with a mad expression on their face. Mia has always had a crush on Jeydon too.
"You might want to go get dressed. I'll wait for you and we'll walk to class together." Jeydon said smiling at me.
"Ok." I said running back to the locker room and got dressed.
When I walked back out, Jeydon was leaning against the wall waiting for me. He saw me and smiled. We were walking out of the gym doors when I felt him grab my hand and intertwine our fingers. I couldn't help the smile and blush.
"You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do this." Jeydon said while walking.
"And you have no idea how long I've waited for you to do this." I said back to him smiling. He looked down at me and smiled.
"Um, Carter?"
"Yea?"
"Would you like to go somewhere with me tomorrow?"
"Of course." I said smiling.
"Ok it's a date then."
"It is."
That is until I realized that I'm supposed to meet up with Justin at the park tomorrow for our project.
"Hey Jeydon. Do you think that tomorrow we can stop by the park? I have to meet up with Justin for our project and I don't want to go by myself."
"Yeah oh course. I gotta go to class. Bye." he said and kissed my cheek.
"Bye!" I yelled at him while we was walking away. Today has been the worst and the best day of my life.
