Louis Tomlinson, clutched the counter in the bathroom, blood pouring out of his arm. He couldn't remember the last time he wasn't filled with self hate, and it was a scary thing. He looked up into the mirror, tears filling his blue eyes. His face was bruised from the footie's players and his own father. He took a deep breath and began to clean his cuts up, hissing as the saline spray hit them, and as the slightly rough gauze patches were wrapped around. Louis, whimpered once done and headed to his room, limping ever so slightly, collapsing on his bed once he got there. He turned his music on softly, and curled up under the thick blankets. He let out a soft sob as he thought of the times when he was bright, and full of promise. He used to be so popular and smart, and good at footie, but then his father started to hit him, telling him how worthless he was.

"This is your life there's no way to run from it. The doubt in your brain or the pain in your stomach, I only have but one complaint at the moment; don't paint me black when I used to be golden."

Louis sobbed louder as the song continued on, feeling beyond low. His life was fucking shit and he had no reason to live. "I'm so fucking alone." He nearly screamed, tugging at his hair, crying loudly.

He eventually managed to calm, crying himself to sleep, whimpering as he dreamed.

"You worthless faggot!" His father yelled, slapping him across the face.

Louis had just came out to his family, praying for their support. Of course his mother supported him, but his father didn't, and he let him know later that night.

"You're a fucking disgrace! You ruined this family!" He hissed as he pushed Louis down to the ground, kicking him in the ribs before leaving, scoffing.

Louis woke with a start, sitting up and wiping the tears that had fallen. He shakily got out of bed, changing into in a sweater and some sweats, hesitantly going downstairs afterward, stopping at the bottom of the steps looking around. Once he decided it was safe he went into the kitchen, making a cuppa and grabbing a snack before heading up to his room to try and do some homework. He put his glasses on, working quietly, some soft music playing in the background, until his mum came home.

"Louis, why'd you leave school today?" She asks as gently as she could.

"I got beat up, what else." He mumbled sadly, setting his English work down, looking up at her.

Jay sighed and sat on the edge of his bed, and hugged him.

"I'm so sorry Lou, I'm trying, I really am." She whispered as Louis buried his face in her neck, crying.

"I know mummy, it's okay. I love you." He whimpered, hugging her tighter.

Jay stroked his hair until he calmed down again.

"I'll make your favorite tonight, okay Bug?"

Louis nodded and kissed her cheek, thanking her before swallowing hard.

"Hey mum?" He whispered, picking at his bedding.

"Yes Bug?" She asks softly.

"Can I get a tattoo?" He mumbled, glancing up at her over the tops of his glasses,

Jay pursed her lips and thought for a few moments. "Of what exactly?" She asks, quirking an eyebrow up.

"A lyric from a song, on my wrist." Louis said, chewing on his lower lip, eyes filled with hope.

"Okay Lou, not to big okay? We can go on Friday, I'll pick you up from school, okay?" Jay said, smiling at her son.

Louis nodded quickly, hugging her tightly, whispering a thank you.

"You're welcome, now finish your work, 'kay?" She laughed and left, going to start on dinner.

Louis finished setting the table as his father walked in, greeting his sisters warmly, but shooting him a look of disgust. Louis sighed and went into the kitchen to help his mum get everything on the table. After everything was set out, everyone sat down to eat, talking about their days as Louis picked at his food.

"What was that about you having some guests for dinner on Saturday, dear?" Mark asks, looking up at her.

"Oh, yes that's right. My friend from college and her two children will be having dinner with on Saturday so best behaviours everyone," She said happily, smiling from ear to ear.

"We will be Mummy!" The twins said, giggling as they ate.

"Everything okay Bug?" Jay asks, looking at Louis.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine Mum, just a bit tired. Thanks for the amazing dinner." He said, easily faking a smile.

"After dinner can I talk to you Louis?" Mark asks, smiling .

Louis nodded, knowing what was coming. They'd go to Mark's office and he'd slap him around a bit and call him names before throwing Louis out of the room.

And Mark did just that, managing to give Louis a bloody lip and a few bruises, telling him how worthless his was before shoving Louis out, causing him to fall face first into the floor. Louis groaned in pain as he got up, slowly going to his room and changing into pyjamas, and going to sleep, wishing he was dead.

~~~~
The next morning Louis got ready quickly, pulling on black skinny jeans and a random shirt before toeing on his vans and leaving to walk to school. It was a short distance so he didn't mind. He liked being alone for a bit, just walking. It all went downhill once he got to school. He felt people staring, and he heard them laughing, and it broke his heart. He hurried to his locker, grabbing his books  before turning to head to class, only to bump into someones chest.
"Hey there faggot." Harry hissed, smirking.
"S-sorry." He stuttered out, trying to go around him.
"Uh-uh. Where are you going? The party hasn't even started." He snickered, shoving him into the locker.
Louis groaned in slight pain, glaring. "Piss off Styles." He snapped.
Harry shook his head. "No way bitch." Harry laughed, punching him in the jaw.
Louis hissed as Harry's fist connected to his jaw, sinking to the floor as Harry laughed.
"You're a pathetic, worthless little faggot." He spat and walked away, and Louis really felt like a pathetic, worthless faggot as he cried silently, knees pulled up to his chest even thought it hurt.
Louis just wanted someone to be there. He wanted to be happy, and worth it. He wanted to sparkle
