I got up out of bed and stretched. I had just finished my Junior yer of high school. Thank god it's almost over. High School, I mean. It's one of the worst things ever.
My mom called up the stairs, "Fallyn! I made breakfast! Want any sweetheart?"
Notoriously, I walked down the stairs without muttering a single sound. See, I'm mute. I haven't spoken a word to anyone, since my dad died when I was 9. My mom's been trying to get me to talk again. Nothing works.
I was always a daddy's girl. My dad and I did everything together. That's why it's so difficult for me. I can still remember the day he died, in detail.
---Flashback to the day of dad's death---
It was the first day of school. Everything seemed normal. The school day went by pretty fast. I got off the bus and ran inside.
"Daddy!", I shrieked, as I ran and hugged my dad.
He picked me up and spun me around in a circle.
"Hey, princess! How was your first day?", he asked.
"It was cool! I really like all my new teachers!", I replied with a smile.
"Good! Good! You look pooped out! Why don't you go upstairs and take a nap."
"Okay. Love you mommy. Love you daddy. I'll be up in a little bit."I walked up the stairs, layed down in my bed, and fell asleep. When I woke up, I walked down the stairs.
"Your father went to run some errands, sweetie. He left you a note.", said my mom.
I picked up the note. It read, "Hey, princess. It's daddy. I'm going to the store to pick up a few things. Just wanted to say how much I love you, incase I don't get back before you wake up.
xoxo, daddy."All of a sudden the phone rang. I picked it up and answered it. It was my dad's phone number.
"Hi daddy. You almost home?", I asked.
"This isn't your daddy. You can forget about him. We killed him already.", said a strange, husky voice. My big blue eyes grew wide, and I dropped the phone.
"Honey. Honey what is it?!", asked my mom.
She picked up the phone. I heard the man say, "Your husband is dead. If you know what's best for you and your daughter, you'll leave 10,000 dollars on your doorstep, at 8 pm tonight."
My mom hung up the phone, and screamed, collapsing to the floor. I stood. Staring at nothing. Emotionless. I was in so much shock.
8 pm rolled around, and as told, my mom left 10,000 dollars on the doorstep. A half an hour later, we heard tires screech, a thud against our door, and then the tires screech off in the opposite direction of which they came.
My mom opened the door, and there lied my dad, with 7 stab wounds across his torso and abdomen. My mom ran in the house and called 911. Then it hit me.
I fell to the ground, hugging and shaking his lifeless body.
"Daddy! Daddy wake up! You're okay! Wake up!", I cried and screamed.
The medical staff had to pull me off my fathers body. I ran to my mom and hugged her close.
"I want daddy back. I want daddy here with us. He's not gone. He can't be.", I cried.
"I know, I want him back too sweetie, I want him back too.", said mom.---Current Time---
"Fallyn! Fallyn!", my mom yelled.
I looked up at her, with a puzzled gaze.
"Fallyn, I've been asking you for 5 minutes if you want bacon or sausage!", she said.
I pointed to the sausage.
"Honey, I know what you wen through was horrible. Nobody should go through that. But you can't hide your words, and internalize forever, baby.", she said.
I stared at her blankly, as I thought to myself, "Watch me."
