Teen Choice
Justin's hand was squeezing mine
as we stood backstage at the Teen Choice Awards. It had taken months for us to convince them to let us present together. Makeup and hair people quickly checked us over. The stage technician signaled for us to go. We strolled out onto the stage, hand in hand and were greeted by thousands of screaming fans. We walked up to the podium.
"Everybody loves a good love song right?" Justin began.
"Of course! I know I'm a total sucker for a good love story." I glanced at Justin and the crowed woooed.
"So here are the nominees for choice love song." I said with a huge blush on my face. The video played.
Taylor Swift- You Belong with me
Bruno Mars- Just the way you are
Justin Timberlake- Cry me a river
Usher- DJ got us falling in love again.
Maroon 5- Payphone
Justin and I were in the shadows of the stage. The stage technician handed me the envelope with the winners name. After the video ended, we stepped back up to the podium.
"And the choice love song is." Justin began.
I peeled open the envelope and showed it to the TV camera.
"TAYLOR SWIFT'S YOU BELONG WITH ME!!" I squealed in excitement. I saw my best friend jump up out of her seat in the front row in excitement. She hugged her brother, mom and Ed. She hopped up the steps of the stage and gave me a huge hug.
"Congrats Taylor!!!!" I told her. After she let me go, she hugged Justin and accepted the surfboard from me after I took it from the stage technician. As Taylor made her speech, Justin leaned over and whispered something into my ear.
"You belong with me. I love you Selena."
