Stoked Again!

Prologue

~Third person P.O.V.~

What is the best day of school? The beginning of school? Someone's birthday? A holiday celebration? Pizza Friday? It's very simple. The ending of school! There is nothing better then leaving the place that made you feel like you're in prison for ten months.

Right now, a young girl runs out of school along with other students. But, she is a company by another girl with dirty blonde hair and is very enthusiastic. They start walking along the sidewalk talking about what are they going to do for the summer.

"This is going to be the best summer ever! I can't wait to go to Miami!" Says the dirty blonde hair girl while jumping up and down the sidewalk.

"Calm down, Kory. You always go there to visit your abuela." Says the girl trying to help her friend stop jumping like a rabbit that had drank a cup of coffee.

"Hey, this year is going to be different, Sunny. For this time we'll all be going to Disney! My long life dream ever since I realized that Pocahontas was created by them." Kory started to jump once more.

The girl, named Sunny, rolled her eyes at her friend's immaturity. "Okay one, she was a historical figure whom had... a not so happy story. And two, knowing you to well, you'll get bored of the entire vacation after the trip to the 'Happiest Place on Earth'."

"Oh whatever. It might not be a two month stay in one of the best hotels in British Columbia, but at least it involves traveling. I guess." Kory never really went any other place then Miami, so this was a little bit new for her.

"Yeah, I know. But I'm gonna miss you while I'm there." For Sunny, she's spending her summer in Surfer's Paradise Resort. It's said by many people and critics that it is a must visit place for all surfers or kooks all around Canada. It was her dream to go there ever since she first heard about it when she was six. Nothing could ruined it.

"Yeah, I know. I'll miss you, too. You know, this is so weird because this is a place where there's a lot of surfing involve, for what I'm guessing. Although, you have never really surfed in over six or seven years once I think of it." Except for that. Once Kory pointed this out, Sunny starts to have flashbacks of that event that almost ruined surfing for her. She had never placed a foot on her board ever sense the incident almost six years ago. It wasn't that she was careless, is just she never saw it coming.

While Kory talks about all the things she could do on Disney, Sunny starts to question her decision. Was this ever a good idea? Is this journey even worth it? Will the nightmare happen again? There was said that last summer there was a freak storm - hurricane - that almost destroyed completely the hotel, so there is still a maybe to it happening again!

"-Maybe I should go to that yeti coster in Animal Kingdom, or that ride in Disney World that it starts slow and there's a sudden drop at the end or... Hey Sunny, you okay?" Sunny comes back to reality when her friend calls out her name.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just concerned, I guess." Kory knows that she isn't okay and sighs and hugs her with all her strength to comfort her.

"You'll be fine over there. History won't repeat itself." She pulls apart to look straight in her eyes. "This was your dream, remember? That event was in the past, and is going to stay in the past. That was then and this is now. You're going there and you're gonna surf your heart out. If anyone says that you're bailing out, I'll personally come over there and strap your feet to your board until you ride that wave like a boss!"

Sunny just giggles slightly at this. 'She's right. A have to face this. That was in the past. Besides I need to get back on my feet. What's the worst that could happen?', "Okay, I'll do it.", Kory cheers and begins to hug her again, but not out of sympathy.

'It is only for the summer, nothing else will happen, right?'
