chapter 1

Lucinda's P.O.V~

I'm Lucinda Olympia Rose but just call me Lucy.

As I walk out of my house I unlock my white range rover, the small beep alarms me my car is unlocked so I take a seat and get ready to drive my way to school. seatbelt check! handbag check! phone check! and now just to put some music on I think to myself. It takes me approximately 10 minuets to drive from home to my school and its my favourite 10 minuets of my day... apart from seeing him of course.

I pull up at school, park my car and make my way to the fountain where Octavia sits and waits for me (Octavia is my best friend btw).

"good morning you fine specimen" she greets me with

"good morning via" I greet back, we both start to walk to homeroom when a tall figure stops me in the hall

"morning babe" ...carter

"hi" I snap back bluntly

"woah I guess someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or is it because you wasn't in mine?" he says slowly with an evil smirk growing on his face, I could just hit him right now nobody would know right? apart from the other 50 students stood in this hall. Everything about him is like an irritant to my brain the way he talks, the way he moves and that smirk! that stupid deceiving smirk..

"lucy I'm going to homeroom, I will leave you guys to it" Octavia snaps me out of my thoughts as she walks away with her cheerful smile

"can I get my kiss now babe, you know I haven't had one this morning" Carter slowly snakes his arms around my waist

"why do you want one?" I rudely reply

"because we both know what will happen later at our family dinner if I don't!" he replies smugly squeezing my hips, I lean in and peck his lips and then walk to homeroom. I knew what Carter meant when he said we both know what would happen and trust me I didn't want that.

lunch swiftly came around and me and Octavia made out way out to the front yard of the school, we would go to the fountain but carter insists I sit here where he can see me while he plays soccer. my eyes flutter across to the private school across the road and there he is sitting under the tree with his friends having fun, he catches my eye and laughs, his friends then also stop and stare as I tuck a stray strand of hair behind my ear and look at the floor. the next thing I heard shocked me

"stuck up bitch" was shouted from the crowd across the street, I looked to see the boy smirking my way and that's when I got up. I couldn't sit there I walked back into the school building and collected my things from my locker. I walked back out to the front yard where Octavia was still sat and approached her

"hey, why did you run off like that? I was about to come after you but Carter told me not to and that you would come back so I just waited and here you are!" she cheerfully said to me

"it doesn't matter via trust me, have you got the next two periods free?" I question her

"as a matter of fact I do! do you want to go to the mall or out for lunch, maybe something like that?" she asks

"yeah lets go!" and with that we hopped in my car and rove out of the school parking lot and to the mall.

~later on that evening~

after the mall I dropped Octavia home and then went back to my house, stopping at starbucks on the way. I got home and immediately got reminded by my father that Carters family was coming over for dinner so I was sent up to my room to make myself more "presentable".

after an hour of make up, hair straightening and choosing an outfit I was finally ready for this meal until the doorbell rang throughout the house. my stomach sank and I was shaking from head to toe... he was here.
