All good things are wild and free. I need to be free and that requires adventure. This is a story about me, Nina and my adventures I had last winter. I'm 16 and I go to Richmond Heights High School, sometimes I wish I just had some time alone to explore.
-------------------------------------------------------------- Every summer my family goes on vacation, we have a place up in northern Michigan that we go to. That house is amazing because I have my own room and I don't have to share with my older sister and there is a tree house in the back that my dad built for me and I camp out in there.
--------------------------------------------------------------
"Cmon honey! Are your bags packed yet?" My dad calls through the house. "We have to go very soon! Avery are you packed up?" "Yeah I'll be waiting by the door dad." My sister calls. Avery is my older sister. She is 18 and going off to college at the end of this year. "One moment dad! I'm almost packed!" I call to my dad. I'm really excited to go on this trip because of all the bonuses it has for me. I walk to the door. "Okay dad I'm all ready!" Not really though. I'm not ready to leave all my friends for 3 weeks just for a vacation, I still haven't said goodbye to all of them. I'm not excited to sit in the car with my sister for about 20 hours. Once we get into the car my sister immediately pulls out her makeup bag. "Ugg I can't have the public seeing me like this." She tells me. I sit in silence and don't reply to this remark. "Why don't you wear makeup Nina, you always look like crap, don't you know that? She always remarks about how I look, but to be honest, she isn't that pretty. She wears tons of makeup because she thinks she needs it but if she takes it off she looks gorgeous. Avery pulls out her contour and starts applying it. "Seriously Nina you should really consider it, you would look fabulous!" Hah! "I DEFIDENTLY don't want to look like you!" I reply giving her a nasty look. I guess she has decided to ignore me because she didn't reply and turned her body the other way. "Look Avery, I'm really sorry but you should maybe consider not wearing any makeup because it doesn't make you look better. If anything it makes you look worse." She snorts. "I always have and always will look fabulous in makeup." Now it's my turn to snort. She doesn't have a fashion sense. I'm not saying I do, I'm just saying that plaid and stripes don't look good together. This is sort of how the rest of the car trip goes, she beating me up about how I look and I retorting back to her. We both fall asleep at about midnight with my parents still driving.
