10- In The Eye Of The Storm (Alison)

The wind was howling and swirling leaves around the place, trapping them in it's path. I glanced outside my window to see complete darkness and a black silhouette dashed across the pathway swiftly. Whoever it was, they were like an assassin of the night. A storm was on it's way to Rosewood and A was lurking around somewhere in the heart of it. A was everywhere; always watching and stalking us. Especially on a night like this, I wasn't safe walking down a street on my own given the chance A could be right behind me, following me. None of us were safe on our own since A was always watching us. We all needed to work together; to make a plan to take A down for once and for all. There was more then one A after us- it was like there was a whole team of them.

I had a feeling like something bad was going to happen tonight, we hadn't received any A texts for the past few days, so A might have something planned for us tonight. I headed upstairs into my bedroom and I began to prepare my things. I unzipped my pink handbag and placed a pair of black leather gloves inside and then I stared at the pistol I had on my bed, I slowly placed it into my bag and then I closed my bag and headed downstairs. I opened my front door and slightly peered out of it to make sure there wasn't any nasty surprises waiting out there for me.

Once the coast was clear, I cautiously walked to my car and drove to the heart of Rosewood; the pond. As I was driving through the streets, I began to look around and gather my surroundings and check if anything suspicious was going on. There was a red light up ahead so I began to slow down and press my foot on the break. As soon as I had stopped at the light, I noticed out of the corner of my that there was someone wearing black clothes, banging on the window.

"Leave me alone!" I screamed

Then the light turned to green so I immediately pressed my foot on the accelerator and sped off; whether A was holding on or not.

I pulled up against the brew and walked out of my car and headed to the pond. When I got there, I noticed Aria, Hanna, Emily were waiting for me.

"Where's Spencer?" I asked the girls looking around

"She hasn't arrived and she hasn't texted us since before school" Hanna replied

We all began to look around to make sure that A- the psycho assassin, wasn't nearby, listening to our conversation. Then all of a sudden, Spencer emerged from the pond entrance and started walking up to us.

"Sorry I was late guys. My mom was asking all sorts of questions about where I was going and what we was going to do." Spencer replied

"Now that we're all here, we need to talk about our game plan with A." Said Aria

I had a feeling inside my body warning me that something was going to happen, right now.

I began to gather my surroundings when I saw a shadow dash behind the girls.

"Oh my god!" I gasped

"What is it?" The girls asked turning around looking around them

"A is here.." I said struggling for words

By the time I had already said that, a smoke canister was thrown in the middle of us and we couldn't see a thing.

Coughing and spluttering, I attempted to walk forward but someone had wrapped their arm around my neck and began to start choking me.

"Let go of me!" I rasped trying to reach for my attacker

I was being dragged back and their was nothing I could do about it, I had no idea where the others were, but I knew they weren't going to save me. Just when I thought things were over for me, a figure in a red coat appeared behind the hooded assassin aiming a gun at them. The thing wearing the black hoodie- who was trying to kill me, turned around to face "Red Coat".

They were just looking at each other for like a second or two then "A" dropped me to the floor and pulled out a gun and aimed it at "Red Coat". I felt powerless. I couldn't move in fear of being shot by one of them, I slowly turned around to see Aria, Hanna, Emily and Spencer charging towards the battle. Spencer and Aria leaped on top of "A" and pinned them down while Emily and Hanna chased after "Red Coat".

"What happened?" Aria asked pulling me up

"If Red Coat hadn't have appeared behind A, you guys wouldn't be talking to me right now" I replied panting

"Lets see who A is.." Said Spencer

As she went to reveal A's identity, another member of the "A team" had arrived.

"How are you so sure thats the real A your looking for, when I could be A?" The mysterious voice asked

"Aria, Alison get them and find out who it is!" Spencer ordered

The chase was on, we were seconds away from finding out A's identity.

By the time Aria and I had caught up to the other A, we were out of breath and we had to stop. A had managed to get away yet again, we were so close to uncovering the real truth behind who was out for us all this time, but we lost it.

"Spencer isn't going to be happy with us." Said Aria

"We've got bigger things to deal with right now!" I replied pointing towards north at the lighthouse "A storm is coming and we're just standing here when A can re-appear and take another hit at us when its just us two."

"Lets get back to Spence" Aria replied

*Five minutes later*

"We didn't catch them, sorry Spence." Aria said disheartened

"But we need to get to safety, theres a storm on the way, and its coming from the lighthouse." I replied

"Where are Hanna and Emily? They should've been back by now." Spencer said confused

Just then, Hanna and Emily had returned, with Hanna holding a red coat in her hand.

"Red coat left this for us" Emily said "By the time we picked this up and found out what it was, Red Coat had escaped."

*BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ*

We all pulled our phones out of our pockets and read the message:

'If you want to find out my identity and the truth behind all of this, come to the lighthouse and meet me. -A'

"Oh my god.. Guys we have to go!" Spencer suggested

"Are you crazy?! Theres a freaking storm about to hit the lighthouse and come across all of
Rosewood and you want to take us there?!" Hanna replied

"Its worth a shot." Said Emily and Aria

"Okay then we're going to the lighthouse!" Spencer ordered

We then headed for the lighthouse, which was on the opposite side of town.
