I walk into my 5th period class: English. I don't enjoy this class at all. It's incredibly boring and I sit next to that jerk, Drake. To top it all off, I also always get in trouble for not paying attention. I can't help it if the teacher is terribly boring.
About halfway through the boring lecture over "Romeo and Juliet", a loud noise from the hallway interrupts us. But not just any noise. A laugh. I would recognize that laugh anymore. Oh no, what is he planning to do?
"Ace? Doll, where are you?" I hear him yell. My face turns bright red as all my class mates look at me. In little to no time, my classroom door opens and reveals my smiling father. "Come to Daddy baby girl." I get up reluctantly and walk to him. He pulls me close by my waist and kisses my forehead. My classmates look shocked to say the least. "Your fellow classmate, Ace, is in fact my beautiful daughter. My baby girl. It has come to my attention that one of you have disrespected her. So as you can imagine, I am very unhappy. Now, where is Drake?" Drakes eyes widen in fear. The class is silent. "Daddy, you're embarrassing me," I whisper to him. "Babydoll, someone has hurt you and it is my job to protect you." He pulls out a gun and shoots the ceiling. Most people scream but i just roll my eyes. "I believe that I asked where Drake was. Now I suggest that someone tells me where he is." "I-I'm Drake, sir." Drake stands slowly. "Well, well, well, look what we have here. Now Drake, please explain to the class how my beautiful baby girl got that nasty bruise on her cheek." Drake looks down. "I.....I hit her." "What was that? I can't hear you!" "I said I hit her, okay? She deserved it anyways." My father pointed his gun at Drake. "Now there is where you're wrong, kid. How about you grow up, and go apologize to my daughter." Drake looks utterly dumbfounded. He walks up to me slowly. "A-Ace. I'm sorry for hitting you." "Good boy," my dad says. "I'm also sorry that you're a no good slut that's slept with every boy in this school." My dads eyes flash with fury. He grabs Drake by the collar and throws him into the wall. "Nobody, and I mean nobody disrespects my daughter like that." He points the gun at Drakes head and before anyone can scream for him to stop, he shoots him dead on the spot. "I'm sorry you had to see that love." "I-it's okay Daddy." He wraps his arm around my waist tightly. "Lets go home princess." With that, we walked out of the classroom, leaving everyone shocked and terrified.

When we reach home, I walk over to the couch and sit down quickly, turning on the TV. I'm flipping through the channels when I reach a news station. Normally, I would skip it quickly and continue on, but something caught my eye. It was a photo of me. "Daddy! Can you come here for a second?" My father walks into the room, his eyes widening when he sees the television. He grabs the remote and turns up the volume.
"The news of the Joker having a daughter was brought about by a school shooting. The Joker shot a boy who had been harassing his child. This new discovery raises the question: Is she as mentally unstable as him? More details later."
My dad screams angrily, causing me to jump. "What Daddy? It's not that big of a deal, is it?" "Yes, it's a huge deal. I kept you a secret so that none of my enemies would have any leverage over me. Now that they know you exist, they'll use you against me, most likely harming you in the process. I can't have that happen baby." I nod slowly, processing what he said. "What are we going to do Daddy?" "There's not much we can do. But I can promise you this. I'll protect you will all I've got. Nobody will hurt you without a hell of a fight." I smile at him, causing him to smirk as well. "Thank you Daddy. I'm going to watch a movie, do you want to watch it with me?" He chuckles and sits down, pulling me into his lap. "Of course, darling. Anything for you."
