Sasuke's POV
Naruko slept while I was hugging her. I carried her bridal style on my huge bed and laid her down. Then I went back to my NV and played Ultimate Ninja Storm 4! Just got released a few days ago. I played as myself of course and I was fighting against the pineapple head called Shikamaru Nara. Oh. It's the kid that was sitting next to Choji in class before right? Yeah. This is a game of the anime Naruto, which is accurately us.
"Hmmmm... mom... dad!" I heard Naruko yell in her sleep while tossing and turning on my perfectly fixed bed. I sobbed in a corner because I just fixed my bed for her then it's broken. BROKEN!!!!
"DON'T DIE!!!" She yelled, waking up. I ran to her to see tears flowing down her face and she was sweating so much. I heard the door slam open and Itachi-nii running in.
"What happened?!" He asked, tending Naruko.
"I guess she had a nightmare."
"That's not all. She's got a massive fever.
"Take care of her, Sasuke, while I take a towel."
"Right!" I held her hand. It was shaking.
"S-Sasu-ke..." She stuttered. I held her hand tight. I pressed my forehead against hers. It was so hot!
"It'll be alright... Naruko." I said, my forehead still stuck on hers.
"I got the towel!" Itachi-nii yelled as I backed away from her forehead. He pressed the towel against her forehead and it absorbed all the sweat. We both sighed and sat down.
"Ne Naruko-chan, have you always got fevers like this?"
"Yeah. I'm actually used to it. I've had it since I was 3. I would have the same nightmare once a month and it just happened to happen today. I'm sorry for making too much trouble dattebayo..."
"Nonsense! We feel welcome to have you here and take care of you. You've always been on your own since you were born right? It's an honor to take care of you!"
"Itachi-nii..."
"Yeah! We're friends, right? Though I've just met you today, we can be friends forever!"
"Sasuke... arigato..." She fell asleep again. I sighed in relief then fell back on the floor with niisan.
"So you've only met her today huh?"
"Yeah. I can trust her."
"Hey. Just in case she runs away from you, make a promise with her!"
"What? Like a vow or something? A pact? Tell me, niisan!"
"Well, a promise that neither of you can break. Like, if the other goes on a mission, the other has to follow."
"Alright, niisan! I'll use it!" He pat my head.
"What kind of an Uchiha are you? Haha!"
"Niisan! Stop it!"
"Alright alright. I'm going on a mission is 3 hours. Gotta go packing." He poked my forehead before standing up.
"See you later, Sasuke. Take care of Naruko." He said, poking Naruko's forehead then walking out.
Itachi's POV
"Kaa-san. Sasuke's friend is asleep upstairs. She has a high fever but I am guessing that with enough sleep she will be able to heal." I reported to kaa-san.
"Oh, is that so. Well then I will take care of them. Good luck on your mission, Itachi."
"Arigato, kaa-san. I'll be back in a few days." I said, before walking off to my room and packing a few things.
Sasuke's POV
"Naruko..." It's been two hours and she hasn't woken up. Itachi nii-san's mission starts in two hours, but he decided to leave early.
"Sa-Sasuk-ke...." She mumbled. I felt my face get warmer.
"Why are you thinking about me?" I asked the sleeping blonde.
"Because we're friends!"
"Whoa! You're awake!!"
"Yup! I feel better already!" She sits up and grins at me.
"Goddammit you need to rest, dobe."
"Grrr... come on! I don't have a fever anymore! Let's go to my place and play!"
"Heh. I don't even have my parents permission yet, and nii-san's already gone on his mission."
"Jeez, you're so hard to convince. I'm bored dattebayo." She sighed, flinging herself back on my bed.
"Hn. You have too much energy."
"What'cha say, teme?!"
"I said you HAVE TOO MUCH ENERGY, DOBE!!!"
"SHUDDUP TEME-TTEBAYO!!!"
"Hmph!" I crossed my arms across my chest and she did the same. We stayed silent for 5 minutes, when I broke that silence.
"H-Hey, do- I mean, Naruko. I'm sorry, 'kay?"
"Y-Yeah. Me too."
"Friends?" I let out my hand to shake. She took it and smiled.
"Friends dattbayo!"
"Hey Naruko. Can you promise me something?"
"Sure, what?"
"T-That we'll be friends forever? No matter what happens?"
"Alright!" She grinned and I did the same thing.
"Let's give it a nickname! How about, the SasuNaruko promise-ttebayo!"
"Sure, why not?!"
"Yeah! Believe it!!!"
This was the REAL start of the mess up friendship we had...
