The large stones gathered on the pathway leading up to the castle door. Adriana was now twenty-one and had been the Queen of Demons for six years. She loved how rewarding being queen was, but it was also a pain in the butt. She hated always having to be ready for battle.
Ever since she became queen the annoying humans wouldn't stop declaring war. Finally on the most recent battle ,which happened three days ago, Adriana finally walked out and shouted to the pesky humans "You want war then you will all die! I don't care if you don't like my kingdom! Learn to deal with it or I will kill you all!!" Adriana meant exactly what she said. She would kill all those pestering humans in one minute. All she had to do was let out her inner demon and they would all die.
She never regreted becoming the Demon Queen. For that night she met the love of her life. Her royal king Sir Grandhadry or Henry,his nickname. Adriana loved Henry so much. She loved how he would always call her Thy Queen. She alway blushed when he called her that.
When they met. Adriana was dancing at her coronation. Little did she know that the man she was dancing with was going to be thy king. Two months later the dancing stopped and they were standing at the alter about to say I do.
**Two months later**
Adriana woke up this morning and looked to her side and kissed her husband. She looked at him expecting him to wake up but he didn't. She sighed and went down to the kitchen. She heard a rattleing down there. She looked in and saw the knight holding a pan looking at her with wide eyes.
"Fanditom how many times have I told you not to make noise while me and my husband are asleep?"
"I am so sorry your Highness. I didn't mean to wake you. Is the king awake? I could make you and thy king breakfast."
"Henry is not awake. He is still asleep. I got it. All I wanted was a cup of coffee. What were you making young knight?"
"I was just making some fish nuggets and maybe some bloodbrowns your Highness. Would you like some?"
"No thank you. I am okay. Would you like me to help you make your bloodbrowns?"
"No thank you ma'am. I can figure it out. You Highness may I ask you something?"
Adriana looked at him with curious eyes. Her knights never asked her questions. But she had forgotten. This was a new knight. His father was a knight to her parents. His father was killed in the war when her parents were....killed.
"Of course you may. But do not take it as a habit. My knights do not ask me many questions. I get bored very easily when I get asked many questions."
"I am sorry ma'am. I didn't know. How did my father die?"
"Your father was killed in battle young knight. It was the first battle against those pesty humans. Your father was a very brave man that fought a long side my parents but sadly he was lost."
"You lost your parents as well your highness?"
"Yes I did. The Queen and King of Terror. They were killed in battle thanks to those pesty humans in the village."
"Did you try to fight with them your Highness?"
"Sadly young knight I was asleep when they died. Your father came wake me when he realized they had died. When I had woken up and went down to the doors and went out, word had spread that I was the new queen and the fighting stopped then the humans hated me so they started fighting again not long after my parents died."
"Thy Queen have you ever come close to death yourself?"
"Many times young knight. But my death experiences are not to be told to anybody."
"Okay thy Queen. I understand."
