Marco's Point of View:
It was about 1 am and I had just awaken from my so called "sleep". I suddenly started feeling a little dizzy and decided to shake off the feeling and roll out of bed. After I started to wake up a bit, my vision became clearer and I found a small note stuck to my dresser. Whoever it was from, had very neat handwriting and left it here after I was asleep. It said in the fine print, "Hey there, Marco, I didn't want to bother you so I wrote this note for you. I was just letting you know that after you fell asleep, your parents said they would be out for the rest of the night and sometime tomorrow, not sure why though. Also, I have left some cookies for you in the kitchen, or maybe it was on top of your dresser, I'm not sure. Anyways, I'm probably out for a walk, thinking for a while by the time you read this, so don't worry too much. I'm fine, really." (:
- Star
"Star.. oh god, I hope nothing bad happened to her while she was out. I better go see if she still is gone."
I thought in my head, still a bit dizzy. I had to go find Star. I may be too caring, but I don't know what I'd do if something bad happened to her. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself, not one chance. As I started leaving my room, I found a bunch of cookies left for me from Star. They were chocolate Sugar Cookies, in the shape of hearts. How sweet. I ate one and headed out to Star's room to see if she was there. I heard the sound of heavy rain and thunder coming from outside, so it wasn't a good sign. Star hated thunder, even just a simple storm. She would always be locked up in her room, or be looking for someone to hide with until it went away. I approach Star's room and I see a little crack opening from her door. I peaked inside, but there was barely any light to see. I finally walked in, being quiet like usual, and it surprised me. I found Star hiding underneath one of her blankets, because she was scared. She must've felt lonely while I was passed out, that she hid by herself, just waiting for the rain to stop. I walked over to her very carefully, making sure I wouldn't scare her on accident.
"Star, Are you awake?" I said softly as she sat up and found me, standing there and looking for her.
"Marco! You're awake! I was getting worried that you were asleep that long, but I didn't want to disturb you or anything." Star said in a soft tone. As soon as she saw me, she ran up to me and hugged me tightly, almost like she was afraid she would lose me. I didn't want her to think that.
"Yeah, finally I woke up, It's about 2 am, why are you awake?" I said, even though I already knew why.
"Well I was going to wait for you to wake up so I could talk to you, but you were passed out completely, so I went to talk to your parents before they left for the night. After that, I made you some cookies and tea, since I almost forgot to make you some. Then came the storm, so I hid underneath my covers, hoping you would come to save me. I'm so glad you're here now, so I don't have to be afraid anymore." Star said, with a weak smile, and almost teary eyes. She let go of me and sat down next to me. I'm glad I woke up and sat with her. It felt like we talked for hours after that and then we laid down on her bed, looking up at the ceiling, imagining the stars together. We both started to fall asleep, but we still talked till we did. I never thought that I would be so open- minded to Star, and her being the same. She's like the other half of me, you could say. I love that. After we finished talking, we laid down next to each other, listening to the wind. She turned on her side, towards me and looked at me like I was daydreaming. I looked at her, in those sleepy, blue eyes, that met my coffee, brown eyes. She smiled at me and made the whole world spin. I felt a little fire burn inside my heart, and it felt warm. We looked at each other until we fell asleep, except, she reached her hand out to me, and held it tight as she closed her eyes. One of the biggest, most heartwarming smiles rose on her face as she slept. I smiled, gripping her soft, pale hand in mine. I closed my eyes once more and felt the same smile arise on my own face. I was happy. I felt the warmth of her hand grow and I never left go of it.
It was about 3 am when me and Star passed out, together. I was happy. So happy to be the one next to her, happy to feel like I was part of her. I never had thought that maybe she wanted me to be there all along, all this time. I never thought I would be so clueless, to think she didn't want me here with her, to be holding her hand and falling asleep with her, at the same time. I felt a spark go through my heart and it felt like the whole world had stopped, just for me and Star. I'm glad I'm with her, only her.
