Dean's POV;
I didn't even wait for Roman. I knew he was probably still pissed at me for the way I had acted earlier toward him. So, I decided to go straight on home; letting the heavy school doors slam into someone's face.
The clouds in the sky were dark, and all I hoped for was that I got home before the rain poured down.
"Dean! Hey, I thought we were working on our project?"
Roman had my arm in his hand, keeping my still so I couldn't leave him. I only looked at his dumb, pretty face. What excuse could I come up with to make him go away?
"Well... uh-"
"Come on, my car's right over here." He said, finally letting my arm go. I sighed, but decided to follow him to his car. Hey, I had nothing better to do.
I couldn't help but to notice one of Roman's friends sent him a wink as he were getting into his car. What's his name? Neville, or something like that?
I decided to shrug it off and slide into the front seat of Roman's car. He got into the driver's side, and started the engine.
"Did you have a good day?" He asked, not looking at me, but watching the road as he pulled out of the parking lot.
"I guess." I sighed. I felt a guilty feeling in my chest from snapping at him, and he was still trying to be nice to me.
"Look, I'm sorry about earlier. About snapping at you." I apologized. He looked over at me, smiling.
"Oh, it's fine. I know you didn't mean it. You're just playing hard to get." He teased, sending a wink to me. I instantly felt my cheeks get hot, so I quickly looked out of the window. He chuckled. Was he hitting on me?
"Do you have any ideas for the project?" He changed the subject. I shrugged my shoulders. I had no damn idea what to do for this project.
"Well, we'll think of something." He said.
The rest of the ride was silent. It felt like no time before we were pulling into Roman's driveway, in front of a nice looking house. He cut the engine off, and we both stepped out of the car.
"My parents are out for tonight, so it's just you and me." He informed. After unlocking the door, we stepped into his house.
"Just have a seat on the couch. Do you want something? Water, soda, something to eat?" He offered. I shook my head.
"Nah," I said, taking a seat on the couch. "I'm alright."
He sat his bag down in the floor before taking a seat in front of me. He sighed, laying his head back against the chair. I knew he was tired.
I watched as his teeth sank into his bottom lip. I shivered, and felt my jeans becoming uncomfortable. I couldn't understand why it bothered me so much. He was only biting his lip.
But hell, it was hot.
"So, uh, I was thinking maybe we could just do a PowerPoint for the project and present it in class. That would be easiest, wouldn't it?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Guess so."
I wasn't a big fan of talking in front of class, but whatever he wanted to do, I was up for it.
"Fuck!" I screeched when I felt something tugging at my leg. I looked down to see a rather small kitten, trying to climb up my leg.
"Oh, that's my cat, Colby." Roman said. I reached down, petting the small kitten that seemed to want to play with me.
"You can hold him." Roman said, as if the kitten were his child. Picking the kitten up, I sat it in my lap.
"I think he likes you." Roman said with a laugh as Colby began to rub his small body against my shirt.
"Yeah." I only said, sitting Colby back down on the floor.
"We should get started." I said, and we started on our ideas.
