"Are you sure nothing is wrong?" My big brother, Jake asked for about the hundredth time as we climbed into the truck.
"Yes I'm sure. Now shut up and drive." I mumbled throwing my stuff into the back seat.
"Just shut up and drive drive drive!" He laughed, quoting Rihanna. I rolled my eyes grumbling. He's so annoying sometimes.
"You know, your definitely not a morning person." He stated pushing the key into the ignition and causing his old rusty truck to hum to life.
"If you keep talking..I'm going to bash your face in." I barked curling up and laying my head against the window, willing sleep to come.
"Alright alright. Jeez." He huffed and pulled out of the drive way.
This was it, another day on our way to hel- I mean school.
****
I said goodbye to Jake and watched as he pulled out of the school parking lot. I sighed and pulled my hoody over my face.
I hated school almost more then anything in the whole world. I was a freak here, a mistake, and as most called me a faggot.
I hated that word. It was a label and a bad one at that.
I hate that word.
I hate school.
I hate a lot of things in case you couldn't tell...Just then someone ran into me, hard. Causing my backpack and everything in it to go flying.
"Watch where your going dumbass!" Someone yelled as I bent down to pick up my stuff. I could feel the tears gathering in my eyes, but I wiped them away and ran off to class.
****
I made it to class just as the bell rang. The teacher nodded at me as I raced to take my seat, while others snickered.
"I think that's everyone, yes?" Mr bromer asked standing up from his desk and making his way to the middle of the class.
Nobody answered and he sighed. "Today we are learning about the brain. Take out your text books and flip to page 291."
A string of groans floated through the class room as we all did as he said.
"WAIT" someone yelled as the class room door swung opened. Everyone jumped, surprised.
A boy I'd never seen before Bent over panting as he tried to get words out.
"Sorry...I'm late.." he choked.
He was pretty, Coco colored skin and black hair that hung in front of his chocolate colored eyes.
My eyes traveled down, blushing as I noticed I was checking him out. I looked away hearing some girls whisper about him.
He's cute.
I wonder who he is?
OMG I call dibs!
I rolled my eyes, they were so immature. He wasn't property he was human.
"And who might you be, sir?" Mr. Bromer asked, causing the class to quiet with anticipation.
The boy stood up straight and shook his hair out of his eyes, his chest still heaving a bit.
"A new student, sir. The names Jose." Now that his breathing was even I noticed a thick accent. I wondered if he was from America and spoke two languages or a whole different place in general.
"Ah, yes. The transfer student from Puerto Rico?"
Asked Mr. Bromer, Jose nodded and I swear a girl fell out of her chair sighing his name.Teenage girls. I rolled my eyes.
"Okay, well take a seat." Mr. Bromer ordered. He looked around, all the seats were taken besides a couple by me.
Well that's just great.
I sighed crossing my arms as he dumped his stuff in the seat next to me. I could feel the glares of everyone around me and I squeezed my eyes shut. Begging myself not to have an anxiety attack.
"Hola amigo" he smiled at me I just rolled my eyes and looked away.
Why me, god? Why me?
