Run In

'Great! Now I can finally have a day off!' You thought happily as you smiled down at your phone. You had called your boss to take a sick day off. Of course, you weren't actually sick, but you really needed a time off. You sat your phone down on your pillow and stood up off your bed.

*Riiiinnnngggg*

"You've got to be fucking kidding me.." You grumbled. Slight annoyance filled you as you grabbed your phone. You answered the call and put the caller on speaker. "Hello?" You called out as you dropped your phone onto the pillow again.

"(Y/nnn)!!!" The voice on the other line screamed. "Yah! Jenny! There's no need to scream like that!" You scolded the hyper female. She only giggled at your maturity. "Oh, don't be like that!" She paused for a second before speaking again.

"Ah, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today?" She questioned. Your face went pale and you started to fake a cough. "Aha- I-I'm actually sick- *cough*." You bit your lip, hoping for your friend to buy the act.

"Haha...nice try. You're going out today and that's final." She huffed and hung up. You groaned and rolled your eyes. Jenny can go from being cheery to a complete bitch in a second. But, that's what you love about your best friend.

There were major differences in the things you liked. But as the saying goes, opposites attract one another. She loved horror films, girly things, and kpop. You loved comedy, tomboyish things, and anime.

She would try to make you listen to these boy bands, but you would always shoo her away. It was vise versa with her and anime. You walked into your connected bathroom to start taking a shower.

-20 Minutes Later-

You were starting to get dressed when you heard your door slam. "(Y/n)!" Jenny called out to you from downstairs. "U-Uh. Hold on!" You replied and threw on your T-shirt and pants. You ran downstairs and met with Jenny. "Awe, you look so pretty with your...uhm..your-"

"Tokyo Ghoul.."

"T-Tokyo Ghoul shirt!" She gave you a nervous smile and you stared at her with an annoyed expression. "Ah! So, first we are going to go to Times Square Mall and then we are going to go eat!" She chirped.

"That's all you have planned?" You questioned sarcastically while grabbing your hoodie and beanie. You slid your sneakers on and went to the front door. "Well..I haven't thought about the other things, yet." She pouted and went outside to the car after you opened the door.

-At The Mall-

"Ugh. This place is so crowded." You groaned and rolled your eyes. Jenny clicked her tongue and shook her head. "It's not the end of the world, (Y/n). You've got to go out at times and not spend your life being cooped up in your home."

"I don't spend my life being cooped up in my home! I'm mostly at work.." You huffed and shoved your hands into your pockets. "Your work area is like another home to you.." She murmured, but you heard what she said.

"You know what you need?" Jenny smirked at you. You furrowed your eyebrows at her smirk and spoke, "What..?"

"...A boyfriend." She nudged your arm slightly and winked. You shook your head and started looking around for shops to go into. You tuned out the voice of your friend and instantly went into your thoughts about having a boyfriend.

'It would be fun to have someone once in awhile...' You thought. Suddenly, you felt a harsh impact against your body, making you fall to the floor. "Ow.." You frowned deeply and looked up at the person who made you fall.

"Ah! I'm so sorry, Miss!" The young male apologized immediately. He held out his hand and you declined the offer. "I can get up myself.." You stood up and dusted yourself off. You saw your beanie on the floor and tried to grab it, but the man grabbed it before you could bend over.

His deep brown orbs stared at your (e/c) orbs. You couldn't see his his mouth nor hair as they were covered up. "U-Uh..thank you.." You grabbed your beanie from the stranger. His eyes started squinting signalling that he was smiling.

"Ooohh~" Jenny cooed and smiled brightly. You gave a quick glare to her and she shut up. You looked over to the man and noticed 6 other males behind him. Pink dusted your cheeks and you nervously cleared your throat and looked away.

"I'm sorry for bumping into you, Miss-" "(Y/n)." You spoke up while looking into his eyes. "(Y/n).." He smiled again and bowed. You bowed back and smiled at him. He grabbed his backpack from his shoulders and started digging around in it.

He pulled out two slips of paper and handed them over to you. You curiously took the papers and looked at them. "O-Oh um-" You opened your mouth trying to find words. You looked up and the group was gone. "Where'd they go?" You frowned.
