Scarred Stiff

He had a scar, no multiple scars, running down his back, from his neck down to his waist. He had tried to cover them up with tattoos, but the memories -- they were there forever. NO escape. There was no way to get rid of the image of his father looming over him, smiling gruesomely all the while saying, "This is for your own good." He couldn't take away the pain of the moment. All he could do was keep reliving it, over and over and over, until he couldn't stand it anymore. Even then he still couldn't stop his mind from wandering back to the tramautizing experiences.

Until he met her. She, with her short blond hair, and small, but strong body. She helped him forget. She protected him from all of the terrifying nightmares. Her steely gray eyes warded of any creeping monstrous memories. The nightmares of his father beating him in his quiet "perfect" household. But she was always there to drag him away from them. She was able to keep him sane. But then,

She.

Was.

Gone.

And he, was a Scarred Stiff.
