I sighed, learning guitar again was going to be annoying. I glanced at the directions again and turned again. A few minutes later I pulled into the driveway of a nice house. I checked the address again and grabbed my electric guitar before jumping out of my truck. I walked up the gravel path and rang the bell. I waited a second before someone came to the door. After a second I realized it was Jake Pitts, THE Jake Pitts.
"I take it you came for the lessons?" He asked seeing me with the guitar case. I nodded mutely.
"Come on in." He said smiling and moving aside. I stepped into the entryway timidly.
"Oh sorry!" He said shaking his head. "I'm Jake." He said extending his hand.
"Caroline." I said shaking his hand.
"Sounds like Carolyn." He said pointing to his Carolyn tattoo. I laughed lightly.
"So let's get started shall we?" He asked walking away. I trotted after him quietly.
"Not much of a talker are you?" He asked as we walked into his personal recording studio. I looked around at the walls covered in his guitars in awe.
"Not really." I said after a second.
"Let's see lessons....... First off how much do you already?" He asked sitting in his office chair. I sat down on the black couch.
"Um.... Just a few basic chords." I said shrugging. He considered for a second.
"Would you mind demonstrating?" He asked raising his eyebrow.
"Sure." I said, he stood up and grabbed a small amp. I pulled my black guitar out of the case and hooked it up. Jake sat back down and watched carefully as I played what I knew.
"Not bad." He said nodding when I was finished. I blushed and looked down.
"If you want, I could teach you Carolyn, just because it sounds like your name." He offered grinning.
"Can I learn the electric part?" I asked curiously.
"That's what I was planning." Jake said, he got up and grabbed a random electric off the wall and sat next to me. He started to show me what to do and I caught on easily.
"Let's see." He said after he had taught me the first couple verses. I played it with plenty of mistakes but
less than I had expected.
"Great." He said smiling. I blushed again and looked down.
"Did I hear Carolyn?" Someone asked.
"New trainee." Jake said as Jinxx walked in. He waved at me and I waved back timidly. He smiled and sat down in Jakes chair.
"You're pretty good kid." Jinxx said smiling. I looked down.
"Thanks." I muttered.
"She doesn't talk much." Jake explained. My phone beeped and I checked it. My sister needed me at home.
"Crap, I gotta go my sister needs me." I sighed ticking my phone back in my bucket and setting the guitar in its case.
"Can I get your number so we can arrange your next lesson?" Jake asked standing.
"Sure." I said, he handed me a piece of paper and a pen. I scribbled my number down on the paper and handed it back to him. He walked out to the entry way and I steppe outside. Right before I left I heard Jinxx say one thing:
"Dude you've only met her once and you already have her number? Teach me your ways!" He cried as Jake closed the door behind me.
