Laura's POV
Hi. My name's Laura Marano Portman. I'm Jacob Portman and Emma Bloom's daughter, if you know them. My peculiarities are special because I have 2. Air and the ability to see Hollowgasts. But enough about my powers. I, along with a bunch of other children/teens, live in Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children. It's the only home I've ever known. But since Mr. Barron and the Hollowgasts were defeated, we can live much freely know. Not that freely, but more free than before. For example, we can enter the outside world now, and we don't necessarily have to live in loops. Only if you want to. I don't live in one. Miss Peregrine says it's not as important as before to, so why bother?
Alright. Enough of my ranting. Let me tell what I do in the outside world. Sometimes I have to run errands for Miss Peregrine, when she sick, but most of the time, I sit on the ledge overlooking Ross Lynch's house. I first knew about him when Olive gave me R5's album, Sometime Last Night, for my birthday. I bring it with me everywhere, in fact! So I wanted to find out more about him, so one day, I went outside, to look for him. I know, a stupid idea, but guess what? He happened to live near the children's home!! So one day I was looking, and I was near giving up, but then I heard a voice. A beautiful, singing voice that silenced all the birds. I crept nearing to the voice, and then I saw him. Ross Lynch. The Ross Lynch. I remember screaming and crying tears of happiness, and going home and falling asleep, listening to Repeating Days. And well, the rest is history. I came back to his house everyday I could after that, just to see him and hear him sing. I watched him from afar, thinking that he would and had never glanced my way. Little did I know, the story was the complete opposite.
Ross's POV
So lately, I've been noticing a girl coming by my house everyday. I have to admit, she was really pretty. She had brown eyes, the kind that always makes it look like she's smiling at you even though she's not. She had long brown hair that tumbled over her shoulders in wavy, long curls. Wait! How do I know this? Have I been staring at her too? I think so. Oh well. Rydel's calling me. Probably needs help taking off her earrings again. Girls, am I right?
