Everyone Lena knew was married; from her cousins to her friends, her co-workers, brothers, sisters, everyone she knew had found their special someone, and was now living a true true fairytale. She never wanted to feel bad about it, in fact, she actually enjoyed being the only single one from her group of friends, but not everyone thought the same. Beth, for example, thought she was getting grumpier day by day. Maggy said she was gaining weight for "not having someone to impress". Adam was constantly scolding her for her lack of social interactions with people, how she was never going on dates with anyone. They all wanted to see her happily married or something like that.
It was not that Lena didn't want that kind of life, it was just...She did not want to have it that way. All her girl friends had married beautiful and kind women, and her male friends had handsome husbands. It was the way things were, how society accepted it and how it always had been; though, there was still a small group of people that, like her, had no attraction to people of their own gender.
And that was the biggest problem of them all.
Several dates had been arranged for her, and every single one had ended extremely awkwardly, with a broken heart and an ashamed "sorry". It was always the same, and as much as she had asked her friends not to do it anymore, they kept forcing her into a lifestyle she was not comfortable with.
Until one they, she "came out" as heterosexual. It was a good day, after all, as she found out who her real friends were, and who weren't.
So her life was much easier now; no more blind dates, scolding and bad tips. Her her friends still took pity of her, but there was not much to do about her, since heterosexual people were something extremely uncommon upon their circle. Lena was the only Hetero she knew about.
It was a big surprise when Beth found that bar. It was just for people like her, women searching for men, now there was a chance for her to find people that could understand her better than her actual friends. At first she was not really convinced, but in the end, some fun and meeting new people didn't sound too bad.
And so the special night came. She tried her best to look different from everyday. She wore makeup and heels higher than her usual shoes, the best dress she could find and a new hairstyle, only for this night, her first night alone at a bar.
Of course, Beth never got to see the place in person. Hell, why had she agreed to come? She hated it. Everyone there, the lights, the crappy music. Damn, even those sexy dancers were surely gay. All the women were trying to hit on them, but kept being rejected as soon as they approached their victim. It was no use. Not even a one night stand would come out of this mess. But hey, at least they were cute, wearing those lacy suits and all the stuff. Maybe the money for the entrance was not all gone to waste.
Lena drank one cocktail after another as she watched the strippers dancing on top of that scenario. It was almost midnight, some couples made out in the darkest corners they could find, some others were too drunk to even bother.
She sighed. She wanted to go home. Feed her cat, read something. In fact, she was about to stand up when the shine of crystals called her attention. His suit was made with some silk-like cloth, a couple gems (probably rhinestones, though) ornamented his waist, hair and ankles. But probably, the most remarkable thing about the dancer that now had her lost in a sea of fantasies was, in fact, his dance. He had the force of a lion and the elegance of a black panther. His entire body moved fluently, in a perfect coordination. Dirty hips and mischievous smile were the cherry on top of the cake, he sure knew what he was doing, despite his apparent young age. With chiseled muscles, thick thighs, nice buttcheeks, her cheeks got an embarrassing pink tone when she realized where her gaze had focused. Even more when he seemed to notice.
