Forever in Your Arms (Ariana Grande and James Maslow One-Shot)

“I don't regret any of the decisions I've have made, because of every choice I've made I've learned something new,” Ariana said, glancing at me with her sparkling hazel eyes, meeting mine in a frenzy of fireworks. 

“Baby, there isn’t a day on this Earth I wouldn’t dare want to spend away from you,” I said, gently placing my hand on her precious back, carefully inching her closer to me. 

Her composure, posture, essence… it was all too much for me to handle. Never in all of my life have I crossed paths with such an outstanding, gorgeous girl who’s thrown it all away for me. And I could never ask any less, since I did the same exact thing. That’s why I didn’t regret a thing about my next words… 

“Ariana, ever since the day our lives have collided, I’ve never been the same,” I said, wrapping my arms around her waist ever so tenderly, making sure she was close enough to hear what I’ve been dying to say for what felt like an eternity. “You’re the fire that burns inside of me, keeping me alive and reassures me I’ll never be alone. You’ve never once given up on me, and from this point on I will promise to always be there for you. Nothing can and will ever be able to separate us.” Tears threatened to spill, and from the looks of it Ariana was experiencing the same thing as me. “And with this, I have only 5 words left to say… Will you be my girlfriend?”

Ariana gazed up at me with those last words, contemplating what I had just said… Did I approach it all too fast for her, or was there something missing? However, just as I was on the verge of doubting myself, her enchanting smile spread across her flawless face, speaking to me with the words I desired to hear so…

“Yes, I will” Ariana said enlighteningly, our hands intertwining at that very moment. And with that, I leaned down towards her, meeting her stance doing the very thing I wished I could’ve done when I realized my true feelings for her…

As we broke apart from each other, I spoke softly into her ear the words that I pledged to live by forever…
