Chapter 2

Montana POV

"Do you think Niall could be here?" Vanessa asked me for probably the hundred time and I was starting to get annoyed.

"Even if he was here, whats my concern." I yelled at her in fustration and Kayley grabbed my hand, squeezing it softly.

"Wow. Even if you didn't like them, you don't have to be such a jerk about it." Vanessa snapped at me and I widened my eyes. That was the first time Vanessa had lost her cool, usually she would just roll her eyes at me.

"Chill Vanessa. Its no big deal anyways." Kayley snapped back at Vanessa, obviously defending me from the blows Vanessa was shooting at me.

"You will defend her cause you are her best friend." Vanessa murmured, shaking her head as she stalked off to who knows where.

"Just ignore her." Kayley whispered to me.

"I know." I smiled back at Kayley. Kayley was obviously the type of best friend anybody could ask for. I squeeze on the ice skates and wobbled a bit as I stood up with Kayley's help. I looked across the ice skating rink. Vanessa was waltzing around the rink at a fast pace, but stopping now and then to flirt with the hot guys down there - typical Vanessa. The only time she didn't flirt was when she was sick.....and when she was sick, she would still flirt on the phone with guys. No difference.

I sighed and continued wobbling, trying my best not to fall and land on my butt. I was never a fan of ice skating. Why oh why did I ever agree with Vanessa to come to this hell hole?

I spun around expecting Kayley to be right behind me but she was no where is sight. I sighed and shook my head. Which friend goes off without helping their friend first?
