When August Came

I remember when August came
The hot summer air in the cool classroom
As I walk to my desk I turn my head
And I see your warm brown eyes from across the room

That perfect smile and kissable lips
Hair spiked up the way I like
I can't believe this is real
Before I know it the bell brings
Your tall lean body glides past me
I quickly walking down the hall just see you....

October rolls in and it's fall break
I can't get your face out of my head
Daydreaming about the day when you fall in love with me
I see those warm brown eyes from across the room

I can't believe this is real
January comes and I'm across from you
My heart flutters when you say my name
I watch the way you write your name,
The way your eyes sparkle when you laugh,
I want this moment to last forever...

May comes and I know the goodbye is nearing,
We must part ways soon,
I will hold on to this moment,
Replying our time together when your gone,
But right now it's our moment
And I see your warm brown eyes from across the room
That perfect smile and kissable lips
Hair spiked up the way I like
I can't believe this is real
The end is near and I know I'll only see you in my dreams,

Tomorrow we part,
Say you'll remember me,
Giving you answers in class and sharing notes,
Will you remember it was me
Sitting across from you,
I know I'll remember you,
You will never leave my heart

Today is the last day I'll see you,
I'll never forget when I first saw your warm brown eyes from across the room,
That perfect smile and kissable lips,
Hair spiked up the way I like,
I can't believe this was real,
Because I remember when August came.
