I look at my mom with a bored expression. This was her third time being in the hospital. She had a broken arm and pinkie finger. I hated the fact that she let my stepdad hurt her like this.
This time she finally told me who had been causing such severe injuries. This first time she told me she broke her leg because she fell down the stairs. The second time she told me she ran into a pole at her job. Her right eye was black for two whole weeks.
"I'm sorry." She whispered not meeting my eyes.
"This can't keep happening! You have to leave immediately mom!"
"Where would I go. I love him so much Dani. He just gets so angry sometimes."
I can't believe the strong woman that raised me was gone. This lady was weak and broken. She was dependent on a man who didn't even have a proper job. He worked at the local power company as a garbage man.
When did she become this weak willed and ignorant. My mom was the one who raised me to never let a man treat you like he was beneath you.

"See if you was some bitch off the streets you would've caught these hands. Can't you see I'm trying to help you!"
I walk out the room before I say or do something I will regret tremendously. I loved my momma but she was on that fu fu shit as of late.
Shayaa's Pov
Where is Dani ass? We have twenty minutes to get to Usher's Champions Ball. I was already dressed and ready. I haven't seen Dani since she rushed to the hospital this morning.

I was fresh as fuck with my fur on and my designer every thing. Dani had picked out a dress earlier this week. After dealing with Milan, I didn't think we would be able to make it.
