I can see myself. At the same time I am here, standing, moving, seemingly alive, I see myself there, dead. Lifeless. Blood on my face and clothes. My body pale and distorted. As I look more I see the devastation. The orphanage was nothing but flaming sticks. It's former majesty in the mere shadows of the desolate graveyard. The only family I ever knew was gone. Every last one of them. I look at the collection of corpses littering the still flaming building. Violet, William, Amy, Danielle, Gabe, Luke, Lili, Iris, Clair, and Gav. I see the orphanage's 'mother', Ms. Perri, in her old fashioned attire, strewn like a rag doll. It was a wasteland. I hadn't a clue what could have caused such disaster and didn't care to find out. With a closer look, I realize, Gav, (Gavin) was moving. Alive? Yes. He was definitely aalive. All others were dead. Even poor little Violet. Only 6. Too young. She was smart that one. I would have thought at least she would make it out alive. The ambulances and fire trucks were coming, it took s while because we live in a remote place in Wales where not much is around. It only took a matter of minutes for the help to arrive. Maybe 1 or 2. Not long. The bodies were picked up in ambulances in hope of saving them but I knew at least two of us were a lost cause; Luke and I donned the worst injuries of them all. Knowing that, I rode with Gav, who had a chance.
