It wouldn't be Reality if we were constantly in the bad part of life.
I tried dialing Phillipa, one of my closest friends, for help, but she decided that this was the perfect time to have her phone turned off. And then I tried Grace, but of course, just my luck, she also didn’t answer.
I kept trying to start the car but no hope, I couldn't exactly just leave the car and walk home, it was a long drive till' the University and I would probably just give up in the middle of the trip and sit in the rain until someone came to rescue me.
I had given up on all my attempts and decided to just get cosy in my car until it stopped raining, or until someone called me back, but a knock at the window broke my chain of thoughts. I looked out and saw the brown haired boy I had bumped into in the elevator. He was holding a yellow umbrella over his head, keeping him dry from the rain.
I rolled my window down and looked at him.
"Do you need any help?" He asked
I smiled politely at him.
"That would be great, thank you." I said "I think I left my car light on since about 12 o'clock this morning, and now it won't start"
"I can help" He said "I've got some jumper cables in my trunk, so we'll be able to jump start your car"
"Thank you so much" I replied getting out of the car not really caring if I was getting wet or not.
He tried handing me his umbrella, but I politely declined. Plus it actually wouldn't matter anyway because I was already soaking.
As I waited for him to get his car (and jumper cables), I opened the car bonnet, making sure to still cover a bit of the engine from the rain. I tried looking for the car's battery, but I am one of those stereotypical girls who don't really know much about cars. I wasn't a total idiot in this subject, but I couldn't really help much.
An Audi parked in the empty space next to my car, and I was surprised when the helpful boy came out. He sure had a gorgeous ride. He smiled at me before opening his car bonnet as well and attaching the cables on both our vehicles, connecting them.
"You know I feel really bad leaving you in the rain" He declared.
I shrugged.
"Im already dripping so it wouldn't make much of a difference now, would it."
He chuckled.
"I'm Liam"
"Natalie" I replied before glancing at his car “So what should I do now?”
“Now you wait, while I start transferring energy to your car”
I nodded pretending I actually understood what was going to happen.
After a couple of minutes, my car engine was running smoothly and I was ready to go.
“Thank you so much” I grinned “I don’t know what would happen if you weren’t here to help”
He smiled back politely.
“It was nothing really” he replied.
“Well thank you again.” I said before walking back towards my white Volvo.
“Wait Natalie!”
I turned back around and faced Liam.
“I was wondering if I could get your number.” He inquired.
“Sure” I smiled handing him one of my business cards. “It’s the one under my name, the other one is my work.

Waking up after 10 AM on a Saturday is always nice, probably from the lack of sleep throughout the week, due to work and school. But waking up to someone banging on your door is not pleasant at all.
I trudged sleepily to the door of my dorm room and swung it open.
“Phi? What are you doing here so early?” I interrogated once I saw the blonde haired girl at my door.
“Have you forgotten that we have volleyball practice as 10:30?!” she scolded “You were suppose to meet me 10 minutes ago for coffee”
“Oh yeah volleyball” I mumbled “Just give me a minute, I’ll be ready in a bit”
I left the door open for her to enter then quickly picked up my equipment and put it on. Afterwards, I headed to the bathroom to do my hair.
I grimaced when I glanced at my reflection. My hair was greasy and knotty making it look terrible. Plus I was still in my black-framed glasses…
“Are you done yet?” I heard Phillipa yelled from the bed.
“Not just quite” I retorted trying to find a way to make my oily hair look presentable in a ponytail.
I gave up after a while, so I decided to just let it be, and put on my contact lenses.
“Let’s go”
Trotting across the USL campus, we managed to grab some coffee and be on time for practice, which, in my opinion, should be some kind of record.
Shoving my things in a locker, I slipped on some pads for my knees and got to stretching.
“As you all know, we’ve got a tournament coming up soon” Coach Green informed “ so we’ve got to vote for team captain and of course we need a new kit design, any ideas, ladies?”
“We could always ask USL’s fashion majors to design us something” I suggested “And we all know Phillipa is the best out of all of us, so she should be captain”
A couple of people murmured agreeing.
“Actually maybe we should change things up this year don’t you think?” Scarlett, one of my teammates admitted. “Maybe we should design our own kit this year”
“That’s a great idea actually” Coach started “Natalie, as you have an internship in a gossip/fashion magazine, I think you should start coming up with a couple of sketches, is that fine with you?”
I nodded a bit hesitant since I would just be given more work, but it was a great opportunity and I wasn’t going to let it pass up.
“Well if that’s settled, get on and form teams, we’ll be playing a couple of games.”
I smiled joining Phillipa on her team.
College life sure would be eventful…
