Your sense of sound came back to you before your sight. You twitched your ears slightly to listen for anything. You were still slightly unconscious. You couldn't move or see, but you started hearing and feeling again. You heard shifting on the left of you. It shuffled then... yawned? You used all the strength you could hold to open your eyes. You then looked over to see the boy. You tried to remember his name... it was something Bum right? Right when you thought that, he sat up and stretched. He looked over at you and jumped a bit, but then he remembered you. H-hey... His voice was quivering as if afraid you would hit him. You looked at him with soft eyes and spoke, Umm... hi. It was awkward considering your circumstances. He looked down from your face and gasped, Can you move? You tried to move your arm but you quickly stopped when pain shot up it. You groaned in pain and he crawled over to you. Oh, no. Don't move. I'll fix you up. He said with a sympathetic smile. God, his smile. He's adorable. You smiled back and he crawled over to a drawer. You couldn't see what was inside because his back was to you, but for some reason you trusted him. He came back with some pain killers and bandages. O-okay... im gonna try to help you, but im not a professional. You looked up at him. You'll do just fine. You smiled which then made him smile. He began to tend to your wounds, but as he did he seemed to be thinking about some things. You didn't blame him. Considering the things that happened, thoughts flowed your mind as well. Like, why was that man, Sangwoo, stalking you? More over, how did Bum get here? You didn't know if the topic was sensitive to Bum, but you took your chance. Bum, how did you get here? He stops what he was doing for a second, then continued. That's a story for another time. For now, lets just get you better. You nodded and he continued. After a while, he cut the last scrap off the bandage. Done! He flashed his adorable smile again and crawled away from you to give you some room. The pain killers were really strong and you sat up. You looked at your hands and smiled. Thanks, Bum! You hugged him playfully and he flinched for a second, but hugged back. Glad you two are getting along. The basement door was opened and Sangwoo was standing in the doorway.
Your eyes widened and you scooted to the farthest corner. Dont come near me! Bum looked back at you worried then looked at Sangwoo.
She's okay. I fixed her up. Sangwoo sighed. Heavens, and here i thought you would never wake up. He grabbed a baseball bat and started to walk towards you. Bum watched in anticipation until he finally said, wait... Sangwoo looked back at the boy. What is it, Bum? Bum looked down. Well, i think a lot more would get done if she helped you in the kitchen... Sangwoo put the tip of the baseball bat on the floor, so when he walked back over to Bum it scraped against the concrete. He bent over to get to Bums height. They began talking in whispers so you couldn't hear what they were saying. You just curled up into a ball in the corner, fearing for your life. You rocked back and forth slightly in anticipation. You did this for a while until Sangwoo stood up and turned around. You looked up at him and he looked down onto you. Alright. You've been given a chance to live. You can thank Bum for that. We'll talk about rules tomorrow. Sangwoo went back upstairs and locked the door. You quickly got up and ran to Bum, hugging him tightly. Thank you, Bum... Thank you. Tears streamed down your face as you cried in his lap. It's okay, im here. He laid his legs out flat and put his back against a wall. You laid your head on his thighs (his calf's are what hurt) and curled into a ball. All of this was happening so quickly, but you didn't care. At least you had Bum. Everything was okay. You whispered to him again, Thank you... He stroked your hair soothingly until you closed your eyes and lifted off into a dreamless sleep.
