"When a light starts fading, you can't fix it. Unless you replace it, that is," his father says.
"There's no need to replace anything. It's fine the way it is," the girl's boyfriend says.
"How are you going to fix a fading light? It's going to break sooner or later," his father says.Day 3 out of 5
"Hey, sunshine. How ya doin?"
"I feel as if I'm fading..." It was getting harder for her to speak.
"...You're only faded because it's a light drizzle of rain. It'll pass and then you'll be bright again," he says to try and cheer her up.
"Rain, rain...Go away.." she says a bit above a whisper.
"...Come again another day," he finishes for her.
She half smiles.
"Stay bright, my sunshine," he says.
