After being in this house for a couple weeks, I’ve noticed some pretty strange things happen. Faucets have turned on without anyone touching them. I went to take a shower on day and when I got out, the door was locked even though I never locked it. The television has turned on a couple times when no one touched the remote. It’s nothing big, just little things to make you question how stable you are “up there”. This has only recently happened since I started my school project. I’ve been assigned a project to find out history about the place I live, since Salem is a very historical town. A couple days ago, I decided to go to a local historic museum and found a big history file on this house. From the file, I found that the last person who ever lived here was Rue Gottschal. She lived here in 1692. Supposedly after six months of moving into the town, people started to accuse her of being a witch. She was hung one March 6th, 1692. As they were tying the noose around her head, she spoke words of the devil and put a curse on this house. After she was dead, they burned the gallows they hung her on. Creepy huh? It has been making me question those little things that happened in the house. I soon shake the feeling and go to bed.
