a/n hey all . so sorry for the looooong delay. I had my public exams.please pray god for my good marks and, don't forget to vote or comment . I am eagerly waiting to hear from you lovely people out there. hey ......and the story has 200+ reads now. thanks for your love.
By 7.00, my phone rang at a distance. I was keenly watching the newly released songs in YouTube. Prateek handed me the phone and continued to dance for my ringtone .....'Breakup song, Breakup song, kar de dil ki feeling strong......' That's my fav song too. The caller ID showed Prags' pic ......
Before I could say hello, she cut me in and said "Hey Kia, This is Pragathi here, wait for some time, I am connecting others on a con- call" and there she put my call on hold.
"She has really gone into RJ-ing. " I thought a bit loudly. I completely forgot to tell you that Prags is aspiring to become a Radio Jockey the near future. She was on cloud nine to the power of infinity when the teachers told us about the radio – show thing.
After sometime, l I heard a lot of noises...ah here they are. All said hello at the same time and this started a conversation something like this.....
P-Pragathi, Z- Zara- Yaz, A- Aradhana
P- Hi girls!
Z- HIYA!!
A- HELLO THERE...
Y- HELOOOO
Me- HI
Y-HELOO, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
A-IS ANYBODY THERE??
Z- HELLO
P-CAN'T HEAR YOU, GIRLS....
I got fed up and shouted "I am Kia here and I am going to take an attendance now, please answer me"
"Pragathi" I called out." yes" came over a voice
"Yaz"....."here I am" replied Yaz.
"Aradhana"........"Present ma'am" she replied.
"Zara"........"I am absent ma'am" she replied.
"Went by Mrs.Akshara's genes, huh" said Aradhana.
Ha...Ha....Ha...Yaz started laughing madly. All of sudden everyone started laughing." Ha.....Ha.....Ha.....Ha.....Ha....." was the only sound I could hear. "Why is everyone giggling??" I asked. "Don't know; just laugh...Ha...ha...ha..." Zara giggled.
After so much of laugh, my phone got switched off (may be due to all the laughing), so I went back into the kitchen and started helping my mom for dinner.
I love cooking. It is one of my favorite hobbies. I regularly follow David Rocco and Vikas Khanna. (I mean their cooking skills... ;) ;)) My aunt is my inspiration, who is an excellent cook. She makes pizzas, burgers, falafel and pita bread and yummy cookies at home, but they taste as good as they are made in restaurants....or even better. I am mainly interested in desserts and sweets. I even made sweets for distributing to the teachers on my birthday.
After dinner, I sat down with my books and by 11.30 pm, I got completely filled with all the equations and theorems. So I hastily put away my books and dozed off.
The next day morning, I woke up to the blaring alarm "wake up, wake up, it's a brand new day". I groaned and reluctantly got out of my bed and in front of my eyes were the misty hillside view which I get every morning. That is a pro for living in places like Shimla, you feel like you are much nearer to nature. I was sleepy and was staring outside the window. Suddenly, a high pitched voice came from the kitchen.
"Kia, wake up fast, Don't you have your math tuition, hurry up" Mom was shouting.....actually talking as she was a class teacher for a class which keeps her always on her heels and mom's voice had to be a pitch higher than the students to get them under control.....old habits die hard.....
"Yeah mom, don't worry, I'm up" I said in my best non- sleepy tone. Studies and researches say that doing my maths during midnight.....err ...early morning keeps my brain awake throughout the day. And that is why I am going for math tuitions, 6 to 7, every morning.
I was good to go within ten minutes (I tend to break this stereotype that girls take a lot of time to get ready). My dad, Mr. Rishi Jain, a business man, who is 24/7 busy gave me a drop on his bike . He is a mechanical geek and knows everything about mechanism. He is a bike lover and has a dream of owning a Royal Enfield. I too , a bike maniac , have dream to riding a bike in the roads , just like Ranbir Kapoor rides a bike in the song 'tu hai ki nahi'. Vrooooommm.
Vahini ma'am is very calm and composed and she is the only reason for me to get an A1 grade in maths. As I entered the tuition, Vahini ma'am made me to sit near Priyal. She is a great company for my and an excellent friend. I like her very much.
"Hey Kia, What's cookin??" Priyal asked and waved her hand
'Trigonometry with a dash of quadratic equations, sided by probability, fancy some??" I said. She gave a huge grin as we sat together to enter into a dense cloud of called maths.
On my way back to home, I was thinking about the radio show and had ideas pouring out of nowhere. So immediately after going home, I jotted down a checklist kind of things to be done.
PEOPLE NEEDED FOR THE RADIO SHOW
Organisers-2
RJs-2
Techies-2
Script-2
Creative heads-3
I have the work for 12 people , but I actually have only 10 people, including me. So someone has to play dual roles.
