I slowly twisted the knob on the door revealing a beautiful sleeping girl. Thank god I was by myself because I couldn't contain that grin curving on my lips. I didn't want to interrupt her slumber but I also wanted to spend time with her while I could, so I continued with my original plan of waking her. My hand grazed against her jaw done causing her eyes to flutter eventually opening. Once she was aware of her surroundings her eyes lite up at my appearance. She couldn't hold back her smile the same way I couldn't minutes before.

"Louis! What are you doing here? I thought you had a concert tonight?!" she shouted pulling me into her arms. She felt like home.

"I wouldn't miss this for the world! Happy birthday, El," I pulled her in tighter.

Once she was dressed and ready to go we left the raggedy apartment I wish she didn't live in to spend her birthday in Paris. I knew she hated surprises but not as much as she disliked me spending my wealth on her. Hopefully how much she loves France will balance it out. The way she stares out the passenger window so amused is adorable. So innocent and curious. That trait is hard to find nowadays. I reach over placing my hand on her thigh causing her to look up and smile at me.

"Louis.." I'm not sure if she's shocked or angry as we pull into a parking spot of the airport. I give her a smirk kissing her on the head once we exit the car. "What are we doing here? Where are we going? What's going on Lou? I have nothing packed! I have work tomorrow! Louis!" She was thoroughly mad but all I could do was laugh at how anxious she was.

I pulled her into me to reassure her. "We're only staying for the day, Eleanor. It's alright," She still wasn't convinced.

She was deep in thought. "Can we at least take a regular plane with everyone else?" She begged. I wasn't about to put her on a plane full of nasty old men. She doesn't understand and is way naive to ever. I held my ground forcing her to eventually give in to using my original plan of taking a jet.

The large jet felt comfortable only because her hand was tightly gripping mine. As many times as Eleanor would fly she always feared take off's. Once we were airborne she was fine, every time. One of the many things I'll never get about her. She told me about Uni and all the classes she planned on taking after summer.Part of me wished to be going to University of Manchester with her. Her studying political science, me studying teaching, but this was the luxury of my life. I can't complain.

"Lou!" El was giggling at me for spacing out. "We're here." She led me out of the plane to the airport. Although she'd never admit to it she loved surprises and this proved it. The gleaming smile on her face proved it.

Walking out into the crowded airport made it easier to hide only allowing limited people to notice me. As quickly as possible we made our way out to the car I'd made sure would be waiting for us. Immediately I knew where to bring her, the Eiffel Tower.

She knew the route there from the airport like the back of her hand showing she comes here far too often. I parked the car and we walked to the tower.

"Happy birthday, Darling," I kissed her cheek lightly which turned red at my gesture. She gripped my hand tightly pulling me over to the entrance of the tower. Us along with a few other couples gathered in the elevator to go up.

The first couple was the oddest. A short man who definitely had too many drinks in his lifetime accompanied by a tall blonde haired girl. Must be his daughter or something, I smirked to myself, then quickly averted my attention to the next couple when the fat guy caught my stare. The other couple was elderly. The way they leaned into each other reminded me of the way El and I were standing. She looked up at me and winked telling me she had the same thought.
