That Summer

Introduction

I'm Rylan Edwards I'm a senior at Redmond high. I have a little sister, Ronnie (9) and a little brother, Luke (4). My mom, Ryker is a nurse at hilrade hospital. My dad, Lenard is a police officer. We have lived here, in Oklahoma for my whole life.

Chapter 1: getting to school

It's Monday May 8, the last week of my senior year. I'm going to T.U. for a soccer Scholarship, but my boyfriend Erinn, on the other hand got a scholarship to some Texas school so he can go play for the Dallas cowboys.... Full ride Scholarship. I'm happy for him although we've been dating for 6 years now and we've never been that far apart. So it's gonna be hard for us, but we'll be together on holidays... I hope.

So I got out of bed and I got my clothes on and made my way to the bathroom to get my makeup on, after I finished I made my way to the kitchen. I grabbed an apple, kissed Ronnie and Luke on the head an picked up my keys headed out the front door and got into my yellow 4 door jeep.

I was about 7 miles into the drive when Erinn called me. I immediately paused 'booty work' the song that was playing at the time. I answered the phone "hello"

"Hey babe"

"What did you need"

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm officially leaving to move to Texas on Friday night."

"What?!? But that means we won't be able to really hangout before you leave"

"I know but babe this is a once in a life time option for me, If I don't take this offer than I may never have another one. Besides, this is my dream."

"I understand. And I do want you to go I just thought we would be able to hangout before you leave. "

"I know and I want to too but we just can't I'll tell you this, I have practice tonight but tomorrow we can hang for like an hour? I would say Thursday but I have my last game here."

"Yea I'll come over tomorrow. And I'll help you pack, love you"

"Love you too"

I am one of the 'populars' at my school so I have my own personal parking spot. It's close to the doors so I don't have to walk far. I like that tho since today I'm wearing my dark skinny jeans and my gray sweater with my gray high heels.

I park my car, quickly reapply my hot pink lipstick. And fixed my long brown hair. Grabbed my backpack, got out I my car locked it and took a breathe and told my self 'come on Rylan one week left you got this'
