The arcade was alive. Children running around with coins overflowing in their hands. It made me smile, reminding me of my childhood. Everyone had smiles on their faces. Even the parents, who probably spent too much on coins. But it was worth it seeing the smiles on their kids faces.

I grabbed Cameron's arm and pulled him to one of the change machines. I had my wallet with me, thankfully. And would not let Cameron pay. I'm not the kind of girl who lets people pay for her. It just makes me feel bad. No matter how many times they assure me it's okay. And I surely did not want to have to owe anyone.

I started out with putting in a five dollar bill, knowing I would end up coming back for more. But it was easier to start out with a few so my hands aren't struggling to hold all of them. 20 coins seemed like enough to start with. Cameron on the other hand Put in a 20. He smiled widely as all the coins fell into the little container.

"You know those won't all fit in your hand right?" I laughed as he started to scope them into the palm of his hand. He was struggling.

"It's okay, because some are for you." He smiled as he pointed towards the left over coins. There was only about 10 but I refused. I had already told him I wouldn't let him buy me anything. Especially because it would seem like a date. But I didn't tell him that part. "Fine, how about we just share them?" He offered. "We will put them all into a cup and each use them."

I agreed, after much convincing from him. We got a styrofoam cup and dumped all of our coins into it. I made Cameron carry it around since he forced me to share with him. (He really didn't force me but I liked when he whined about it).

"Oh, how about this one?" He asked walking towards those motorcycle games. The ones where you lean to steer them. I wasn't one to turn down a challenge so I agreed.

We both climbed onto the red motorcycles and put in the two desired coins. I hit play and watched as Cameron did the same. The game soon started up and we both started to lean to direct our vehicles. I was in first, Cameron right behind me. We were nearly to the finish line when I felt a hand press onto my arm, and I was being pushed to the side. Making my motorcycle swerve into a wall and resulting in Cameron taking first.

"Yes! I won!" He cheered jumping off the motorcycle. He did a little dance, all the while smiling at me.

"You cheated! It doesn't count!" I said sternly. Pointing a finger at him. He just stuck his tongue out at me and pulled me towards a different game.

We played almost every game in the arcade. And went back to the change machine about 10 times to get more coins. I was nearly broke, which wasn't good since I was living with someone right now and had no job. But at the moment I wasn't too concerned. Cameron was having fun and we weren't insulting each other, so I'd say we're making progress. It makes me think that maybe we could be friends.

"It's almost closing time." I chuckled watching Cameron try to walk while holding all of our tickets. There were lots. "I said I could help." I chuckled again and pointed at the tickets he was struggling to carry.

"No, it's okay. I got it." He said but I could hear him grunt as he struggled to carry them all. A few stragglers had fell then and he tried to bend over and pick them up, only dropping more in the process.

"Here, let me help." I smiled as I bent over to pick up the ones he dropped. He smiled at me and stood back up. Re-situating the tickets in his arms.

We made our way over to the table we had picked earlier and sat down. Both of us letting the tickets fall onto the table. I laughed when Cameron sighed in relief. "I told you, you needed help!"

He shook his head with a smile, "whatever, we should eat before we leave. Pizza?" I nodded in agreement so he stood up and headed in the direction of the food area.
