I look out the window of my ’64 ford mustang at the dark endless black road ahead, next to me Lena with her music playing. Short black hair, deep emerald eyes, and has a slightly pale complexion. She keeps me sane actually.
“Hey Raven. where are we going this time?” Lena asks taking out her iPod
“um I don’t know this time where would you like to go baby girl?” I ask in reply “how about instead of having a destination we just drive and see where we end up.” She says
“Fine by me.” I say with a smile kissing her.Her lips tasting sweet like pure sugar.
“You know raven how about you pull over and we can lay down in the back for a while” Lena says with a smile kissing me so I stop the car on the side of the road. She climbs over the gear shift and straddles me.
“And what happened to just lying down for a while.” I say with a smile as she kisses me. I wrap my arms around her and pull her closer into me. She kisses me again biting my lower lip. “Mm, why is it that I can’t say no to you huh.” I say kissing the crook of her neck. “Mm because I’m cute, sexy and you love me.” She says a big smile on her face “yes you are and yes I do.” I say as she takes my leather jacket off me and unbuttoning my shirt. She kisses my collar bone. “huh what was that?” she asks “ I don’t know probably just a raccoon. Want me to check it out?” I ask her. “please. Sorry baby I just…” she says “ I know babe I know you don’t need to talk about it.” I say knowing she’s talking about her parent. They were attacked by a serial killer who was never caught when she was 10. I smile and kiss her forehead “I’ll be right back.”
“ ah raven good to see you.” Someone says from the dark of the woods. “ goddam it I thought we agreed I don’t want any part of this or our family Jessica.” I say “ now leave.” And I turn and go back to get in the car when Jessica has Lena by the neck I growl and my eyes change hazel to a deep violet “ you get your fucking hands off of her Jessica! Now!” “ or what raven I know you won’t show her what you really are tho now it”s to late and she’s going to see it if you don’t want her head to break on the road that is.” Jessica says pushing Lena twards the ground. I catch her “ please don’t look at my face.” I say. She softly grabs my chin turning me twards her she looks in my eyes and kisses me “i….i don’t understand. My people killed your parents how can you kiss me like this.” I ask “ because Raven I know you and I know you left your family after you found out they killed them. And because I love you.” She says “ but how could you know that. I never……” I say “ you listened when my family came over didn’t you?” “yes I did please don’t be mad I was just worried about you.” She says “ baby how can I be mad at you you”ve known what I am and still love me and I love you so much. I’m going to protect you till I die and you have to know that.” I say she kisses me and pins me against the road.
