Small Story
On the planet Espinar a team of scientist including Galen Erso, were researching kyber crystals. Lyra Erso's headed survey team led Galen's team into a cave system full of crystals unique to the planet. To split up and research the crystals and Lyra's expertise, Galen chose Lyra to be his guide. During that research, Galen and Lyra then fell in love. Six months later they got married.
