Chloes POV

"Chloe!"

I groan and stuff my head in my pillow.

"Chloe, Lauren will be here any minute. Get out of bed!" My dad says entering my room. I roll out of bed, opening my eyes only to be blinded by the piercing light coming from my window. I glance at my mirror hanging on the wall and see my brown tied up messily on my head. Ugh

I run my hand down my face and go in the bathroom and wash my face, putting on minimal makeup, and flat ironing my hair.
Good enough...

Since it's currently fall, I throw on my white sweater and jeans with a brown scarf. Then I stuff my phone in my backpack and run downstairs. My dad is reading the newspaper while my brother, Brandon, Is hunched over the table eating breakfast. Lauren's car honks outside and i give my dad a kiss on the cheek and yell a goodbye to Brandon. I grab my Brown boots on the way out and see Lauren and Crystal in the car waving at me.

"Hey guys," I say jumping in the backseat. They both say hello over the radio playing Guillotine by Jon Bellion. The car ride consists of us jamming out to songs and talking about how much our school sucks.

We pull up to school, and see our group of friends in a circle talking. I step out of the car and feel a sharp pain in my knee. That's weird? A dark thought creeps into my mind but I shake my head and forget about it .

"What's up y'allllll," says Crystal putting her hands in the air. Everyone turns  around and say hello to us. Lauren, Crystal, Scott, Jay, Alex, David, Josh, and I have known each other since we were kids in kindergarten. The memory puts a smile on my face. We all are basically family. We take care of each other no matter what.

I notice Lauren looking over at Scott and blushing when making eye contact with him. Lauren is the good girl of the bunch. She's always very modest, wears light colors, spends most of her time at the library, but has a huge crush on Scott, who is the jock of the bunch.

Scott is stereotypical jock who wear a letterman jacket and Is on the football team. And little does Lauren knows but he has a crush on her too. Typical.....

Then there's boy crazy, fashionista Crystal. And when I say boy crazy, I mean almost to the point where she's head over heels for every guy she sees, but especially Jay. Jay is....Jay. Makes horrible jokes every .2 seconds, but they can still make you laugh anyway. Alex is the quiet one of the rest of us, only listening to the conversations not joining in them. Except if David is involved. David and Alex really like each other, but are scared to admit because the fear of being rejected. I frown at the sight of Alex looking up at David, opening his mouth like he's about to say something, but then shaking his head and going back to reading.

Then there's Josh. I'm not sure about Josh. He keeps to himself but is a really great guy. He's easy to talk to, selfless, and protective. Perfect boyfriend material. I blush at thought and my thoughts are interrupted bell ringing. I sling my bag over my shoulder and walk to class with Lauren already wanting the day to be over.
