As I walked into the cold and out of the house I instantly heard a bush rattle.

Sound

I could hear everything

I whipped around like a rabbit with a coyote hot on its path.

Sight

I trained myself to see everything as we should not.

Accompanying the sound and sight of the bush rattling, I could smell the animal with a hint of adrenalin and fear.

Smell

It came to me naturally, for I did not have to teach myself this.

I tasted the water in the slight drizzle that had taken place about an hour ago.

Taste

The animal, as I already knew, appeared to be a slender animal with light lavender, with less and less of the species as it dwindled. It came in close contact and I slightly jumped as it brushed my leg.

Touch

I instantaneously take in the memory of the 12.27 seconds that had passed.

Wit

This is me, I am an exceptional human being. I am someone who can do things that no one else can do. My senses are keen, like no other. Sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and the most important, my IQ and wit.

I am Ryuu Ai Cecily, and I answer to no one.

But it doesn't matter, because no one really knows it.

I start to walk further down the snow capped street, not far from my house, just before sunset.

I suddenly sense a child-like playfulness in the air, and I'm slightly frightened. The last time this happened 4 people were injured. Havoc accompanies me wherever I happen to be.

A stranger pushing a melon cart pass me and I feel the urge to be in contact with a human for once.

"Excuse me, kind sir."

"What can I help you with today Miss?"

He says it in a gentle and soft manner, it is suddenly clear that he has a family waiting at home and I decide not to take incredibly long.

"I haven't been keeping up lately, I've been terribly busy. Could you possibly tell me what the date of this cold day is?"

It can't be too late in the year, has it passed already?

"Why it's the first of January, 1792, miss Ryuu."

Everyone knows me, I'm easily distinguishable in a crowd because of my silver hair along with my piercing eyes. Everyone knows of me, but only one person actually knows me.

"Thank you very much, arigatō."

I walk down the once lively, yet now barren rode until I reach my home. A large cottage that blends in with the rest, a tired cluster of houses that once were fit for the richest.

We don't live in Japan, but a handful of our town speaks Japanese, I am one of those people.

It comes in use for my job, which is odd for someone of my age.

I keep walking and finally reach my home. I reach for the sliver painted handle on the door, but see a hand extended for me instead. I look up and suddenly know who it is.

"Ohayō watashi no josei, good evening my lady."

I abruptly feel different, I can't tell if it's rage, joy, or sadness. Either way, I don't let it show that I fell anything.

I stand there for a second then meet the gaze of the person in my doorway.

"Well aren't you glad I'm back dear?"

I brush past the tall red-haired, shark-teethed man holding each others gaze for what felt like an eternity.

"Ma dame?"

Another rustle, but this time in the corner. A quick and stubble glance, ad I perceived an inadequate sized bag for a traveler.

I close my eyes and without delay see the fellow behind me.

"You haven't said a word to me."

"Misu Rai."

A minute went by then I finally opened my eyes, turned around, and grabbed the man by the collar.

"Listen here, it took me a long time to completely re-arrange my brain. Do you understand that that even the thought itself shouldn't be possible? Don't ruin this for me, do you understand. That name died long ago, exactly 8 years and 27 days ago. You left and there is absolutely no reason to come back. You answer to me and I order you to leave. Monsieur Adria."

"Well I've only been here two minutes and you have already kicked me out, how saddening. How excited I was to come back, after all I was just following my previous orders from your parents. A girl with a boyish name, and a butler with a girlish name, and I thought it was mea-"

"Don't you dare mention my parents-"

I started to reminisce through the short collection of memories I had shared with my parents.

"They had no impact on me, and neither did you. So you can get along now, you sho-"

He poked me on the head

"Don't bring that silly game back, you fool."

I said it with anger

We used to play a game, every time we would interrupt each other we would get to stop the opponent in the middle of their sentence and poke them on the head.

"Don't you want to bring back the time when we were friends?"

Something he said about those words made me so angry, I almost lashed out. Instead I suppressed it deep into mind and forgot it.

"You should go."

I said with no emotion whatsoever.

"Oh that will be a bit difficult- being that I'm  bound here for a while."

He sealed it with a toothy grin

I looked outside as another purple squirrel scurried across the road
