Please stay (Colby Brock x reader)

Part 1 - Birthday present

I've been friends with Sam and Colby since we were little kids. I remember when we first met in kindergarten. We played together all the time, we built houses and castles out of building blocks. We drew each other. Sometimes it looked horrible but we got better at it. In school we had the same classes, we always helped each other with homework. At the age of 15, we started our band! I was the lead singer, Sam was the drummer and Colby..well he was the bassist and he did most of the vocals, too. He was pretty good actually. I mean he still is.

I've had the biggest crush on him since 5th grade. There were times when I couldn't stop staring at him. And when we were practicing songs in our house (yes, we lived in a house together) I always looked at him and couldn't stop smiling.

We were playing Rebel Love Song by Black Veil Brides at the moment, and I could feel that he smiled when I sang the part 'never gonna change my mind, we can leave it all behind, nothing's gonna stop us, no not this time'.

When we finished we went to the living room and turned on the TV.
"You guys were awesome today!" I said as I came back from the kitchen with some water.
"Well..we knew that already" Sam looked at me.
"And what's up with boys? I mean..." Colby blushed.
"I know whatcha mean boi" I made a silly face and I had to stop for a second, because they were laughing so hard "I'm still crushing on someone" I winked at Sam. He knew I liked Colby 'that' way.
"Okay then." Sam got up and went to the bathroom "be back in 5" we heard that he closed the door.

"Wanna play karaoke?" Colby asked me, he freaking knew I love singing.
"Sure boy, but just one song and it has to be a Sleeping With Sirens one or else I'm not playing." I rolled my eyes and he smiled.
"Okay girl, let's sing Heroine then" that song was our current favorite.

We sang the chorus part together. At the end of the song we looked at each other and he leaned in to kiss me but Sam interrupted us.
"Uh sorry Lex I was just.." Colby blushed a little.
"It's fine" I smiled at him. By that time I knew he liked me too.
"Oh did I interrupt the lovebirds?" Sam smirked at us.
"No, you didn't Sam" and then Colby kissed me. We both smiled through our very first but definitely not the last kiss. After we pulled away I kissed back.

Sam made an 'ew' face and he added "gross"
We just laughed at it.
"So, Lex..do you wanna be my girlfriend?" They both looked at me, waiting for the answer.
"I do." I smiled at Colby and he picked me up and hugged me.
"You made me the happiest man alive, do you know that?" He whispered to my ear making me smile even more.
"My birthday is today, do you know that?" He looked into my eyes.
"Well..this is my present for you" he looked into my eyes then everything went black.
