My grandmama used to tell me "The only difference between cowgirls and angels is angels dont ride as good." that was before my grandpa died and she went a little crazy.

Its 6 years later and im 12 and yet to ride a horse. After grandpa died daddy wouldnt even let me try, I wasnt even allowed near horses. I grew up with my daddy, never knew my momma. My dad wont even talk about her, I dont even know her name. All I know about my mama is she left, just one night up and left; and I only know that from my daddy's old journal.

He works a lot, my dad, gotta pay the bills somehow he says. Since he's never home I just get on my bike and go to the rodeo. Now my daddy hates the rodeo, because thats where he met my mama. Kansas, Kansas was her name. Man my daddy's journal is mighty useful, I know just about everything about her. They met just a year before I was born, at one of her Sweetheart practices. Yeah, my mama was part of the Sweethearts of the Rodeo. How funny is that? My daddy hates them too, wonder why.
