INTRODUCTION
This can't be happening. Adrenaline coursed through my veins. T-this just CANNOT be happening. Darkness surrounded me, as I gulped down the soul of my own mother.
"Oh, it's happening." a raspy voice whispered to me through the darkness.
"NO!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
The voice just laughed. It was right, this wasn't just a harmless nighmare, it was reality. I continued to let out my ear peircing scream as I sucked out the remainder of her soul from her cold, lifeless body.
How could I have let this happen? The black, ink-like substance reatreated back into the corners of my eyes, clearing my darkened vision. I held my mom's lifeless body in my arms. Her eyes were still open, staring deeply into mine,horrified.
"Mom." I barely whispered. I felt the tears start to form at the corner of my eyes. "Mom," I shook her lightly, "Mom wake up." and before I knew it tears were streaming down my face.
"What's going on in here!" suddenly my step dad burst through the front door to see me sobbing over Mom's dead body.
