He sat there in confusion as the smaller, freckled boy sat next to him in the booth.

"Please, please just pretend we're on a date!" he whisper-shouted. Kei raised his eyebrow in interest.

"And please tell me exactly why I should pretend I'm on a date with a total stranger who decided to interrupt my quiet lunch?" he asked, his voice just above a whisper, his arms crossing as he finished.

"Ssshh!" exclaimed Tadashi. "I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi, a second year at K University. And that guy over there..." Tadashi pointed towards a rather very handsome young man. He had brown, waved hair and large glasses that framed his face well. His arm was linked with a shorter, dark haired man with a somewhat angry face.

"That's my ex-boyfriend. I accidently ran into him on the way here. He introduced me to his new boyfriend, the angry looking guy. And he started asking me about relationships and stuff one would obviously not want to talk to their ex about, and I saw you in the window of the shop. And... I may or may not have told him you were boyfriend and I was meeting you here for a date." It all came out in a rush and Kei just looked at Tadashi with a bored expression.

Oikawa Tooru had seemed to notice the pair and began to walk over, boyfriend in tow. His expression was kind of terrifying, to say the least, his grin was massive and noticeably fake.

"Hello Tadashi, and..." Tooru looked at him expectantly. Tadashi looked at Kei, eyes practically begging. He had absolutely no clue what to say or due and felt bad for pulling this stranger into this predicament.

"Tsukishima. Tsukishima Kei," he replied.

"Nice to meet you Tsukishima-kun. This here is my boyfriend, Iwa-chan."

"Iwaizumi," he grumbled beside Oikawa.

"Yes, yes, Iwa-chan. Anyways, how did you
guys meet?" Oikawa asked, a little too sweetly. He could probably sense the tension coming from Tadashi.

"Volleyball," Tsukishima quickly replied.

"Oh really? What position do you play, Tsukishima-kun?" asked Oikawa.

"Middle blocker. I met Tadashi at a game," he spoke coolly, draping an arm around Tadashi's shoulders. Tadashi's face became red from the gesture and having an undeniably attractive stranger use his name so casually.

"How long have you been dating?" Oikawa continued. Tadashi answered this time.

"Four months." That would have mean he started dating Kei just a month after breaking up with Oikawa.

"So, what do you like about Tadashi, Tsukishima-kun?" Oikawa pressed.

The fake smile stayed plastered on Oikawa's face, and Iwaizumi was just glaring at him, knowing his boyfriend was just acting like an ass.

"Tadashi is quite adorable, don't you think?" questioned Kei. "With all these freckles and that cute cowlick. And, his physique is quite impressive too."

"So, you only like him for looks? How shallow, Tsukishima-kun," Oikawa said with a smirk. Iwaizumi could feel his eyes practically rolling to the back of his head.

"You didn't let me finish, Oikawa-san," Kei said, giving his most shit-eating smile.

"Tadashi's personality is also quite adorable. Unsure, a little shy, but there's still that bit of confidence. I also enjoy listening to his voice, it's soothing. Wouldn't you agree? There's many things I like about Tadashi, but we would be here a while." Tsukishima gave a small smile and pulled Tadashi closer.

"Kiss."

Iwaizumi could have punched his boyfriend n the face right then and there.

"E-excuse me?" squeaked Tadashi.

"If you're dating then kiss. It's something you would do anyways isn't it? If you were really dating that is."

"B-but in such a public place," Tadashi began to stammer, but he was interrupted by Kei speaking.

"Okay, fine. If that'll make you leave us alone, so we can enjoy our date."

And before Tadashi could protest, slightly chapped lips pressed against his own, and to be honest, he didn't mind at all.

The kiss was light, much like a feather. Kei's lips had fit a little too perfectly with his own. Kei's lips were rough compared to the ex boyfriend that stood watching in slight shock. But oddly enough, Tadashi really enjoyed the chapped feeling.

With lips slightly parted, Tadashi couldn't help but let out a soft sigh in content.

Kei pulled back slowly looking Tadashi in the eye. He gave the freckled boy a slight nod before turning toward Oikawa, giving a sly smile.

Oikawa's face had grown red and anyone could tell he was practically fuming. But that smile stayed plastered on his face.

"Hmph. Well, we should get going, Iwa-chan. Nice to meet you, Tsukishima-kun, nice seeing you again Tadashi." Oikawa grabbed Iwaizumi's hand before leaving the café, grumbling to his boyfriend.

Tadashi couldn't help but let out the bubbly laughter he was holding in.

"I can't believe you did that!" he exclaimed with a smile, but soon realized what had happened. He chuckled nervously, a slight blush dusting his ears and cheeks.

"How did you even know I play volleyball? I was curious as soon as you mentioned it," he asked, trying to switch over to a less embarrassing subject.

"You're wearing a team jacket, it also has your name on the front, so I knew it belonged to you," replied Kei, taking a sip of the coffee that was left to sit in front of him.

"Oh, I see," nodded Tadashi, just realizing he was wearing the jacket.

Kei continued to sip his coffee and they sat in a comfortable silence. Tadashi took the chance to actually take in the sight of the stranger he had interrupted.

Tsukishima Kei. It was a nice name. He was obviously tall, much taller than Tadashi, even while sitting. His skin was pale, not quite as porcelain, but just as pure. Eyes, a striking hazel, were framed by black glasses. His brows were small and thin, but they suited him well. Yes, Tadashi did in fact think Tsukishima Kei was very attractive.

"Well," Kei began, "I need to start heading off. Volleyball practice."

He stood up, but before leaving he scribbled messily on a napkin, handing it to Tadashi. With a small wave, Kei left the shop.

Tadashi picked up the napkin and couldn't stop the blush as he read it.

'Tsukishima Kei, second year at X University. Let's go on a real date soon.
