The classroom was filled with the chatter of high school students. Chaeyong sat at her desk in the back of the class looking out the window at a crowd of boys sitting outside. It was snack time and among the boys was Seokjin, a good friend of Chaeyong's and...her crush. Seokjin was so prince-like and beautiful. He was so caring. He was everything she dreamed about. Ever since the moment Chaeyong first met him she's liked him.
Soon the group of boys including Seokjin walked out of Chaeyong's sight, as they re-entered the building. After a few minutes of Chaeyong listening to her friend's talk, while she stared into oblivion, Seokjin entered the classroom. Immediately Chaeyong snapped back into reality and looked over at Seokjin walking to over her. Chaeyong's friends smirked and giggled at Chaeyong as they knew of her crush. Chaeyong just blushed and looked down at her desk.
"Hey, Chaeyong," Seokjin said, softly.
She looked up at him, at his smiling face and replied, "Hi."
"Um, can I talk to you for a moment?" he asked rather nervously, looking over at Chaeyong's friends that were laughing silently.
Chaeyong swallowed at the lump in her throat and replied, "Sure." She pushed back her chair and walked out of the classroom with Seokjin. Her friends burst out in laughter behind her. Chaeyong followed Seokjin as he kept walking until they were in an empty part of the hallway.
He turned around and leaned against the wall. Chaeyong's heart was beating so fast, "Seokjin? Is something wrong?"
He didn't reply, just started talking, "Chaeyong, we've been friends for awhile and...I was wondering if you could help me. I like Hyunmi."
A little part of Chaeyong's heart broke at that moment. She and Hyunmi were close friends from elementary school. Chaeyong always felt like Hyunmi was prettier than her. All the boys liked Hyunmi.
Chaeyong's smile almost broke but she kept it as she replied, "Of course...she doesn't have a crush on anyone at the moment so I'm sure you have every chance. You won't have any problems winning her heart, Seokjin..."
"Thank you, Chaeyong! You're the best. I'll make sure to return the favor one day," He grinned and walked away, back to his friends. They patted him on the back and looked over at Chaeyong smiling.
Chaeyong's lip quivered as she went back to class. She didn't pay attention in that lesson instead watched Seokjin looking over at Hyunmi. Gah, who am I to think I have a chance against her?

It was after school now. Chaeyong and Hyunmi were walking home as they lived on the same street. "Chaeyong, you look sad," Hyunmi spoke up with her quiet voice.
Chaeyong smiled and shook her head, "No, I'm fine."
Hyunmi frowned slight, but agreed not to push any further, "Okay."
"Really, Hyunmi. I'm happy," Chaeyong lied, "See?" she forced a smile.
Hyunmi giggled, "Good, I'm glad."
They had come to the point in their walk where they had to split up and continue on their own ways home. Chaeyong said goodbye to Hyunmi and walked into her house. As Chaeyong entered her bedroom and slumped her school bag down on her desk chair, her phone buzzed. She looked down at it to see a text from Seokjin.
"Hey, Chaeyong! It's Seokjin. I'm glad you agreed to help me. I'm planning on confessing to Hyunmi tomorrow. How do you think I should do it?" Seokjin texted.
"Hi, Seokjin. I don't know," Chaeyong texted back.
"How would you like a guy to confess to you?"
"I think I would just like him to be honest and tell me upfront. I liked knowing if I have a chance or not. But that's just me. Hyunmi is romantic. She'll probably like flowers or something."
"Oh okay! Thanks!"
"Yeah, no problem."
Chaeyong closed her phone and threw it onto her bed. It hit one of her plushies in the face and flopped over onto the quilt. Her eyes started to sting and before she knew it, Chaeyong had tears streaming down her face and falling down her chin. Slowly she crawled onto her bed, grabbed a plushie and held it close to her chest.

Chaeyong woke up to a dreadful feeling in her stomach. Seokjin is confessing to Hyunmi today...she thought. Quickly, she went to school skipping breakfast, her stomach felt too queasy to eat anything. Once she walked into the school she immediately walked into class and sat down.
Hyunmi walked over to her desk and smiled, "Morning!"
Chaeyong smiled and replied, "Hey!"
"I have a feeling it's going to be a good day," Hyunmi laughed.
"That's good," Chaeyong nodded and saw Seokjin walking into the classroom. He smiled brightly when he saw Chaeyong. She gulped.
Hyunmi turned around to where Chaeyong was looking and giggled, "I'll leave you two."
"No," Chaeyong spoke fastly, "I think he wanted to talk to you." She whispered.
"Huh? Me? Why me?" Hyunmi looked back and forth between Seokjin and Chaeyong, confused.
Seokjin approached, "Hey Chaeyong. Can I talk to you?"
Chaeyong's heart was beating so fast, "Yeah, sure. What can I help you with?"
Seokjin awkwardly sat down at the desk next to Chaeyong and began, "Well...Chaeyong we've known each other for many years now and," he blushed and looked over at her with a shy smile, "I really like you, Chaeyong."
Chaeyong gaped, "B--But, I thought you said you liked Hyunmi."
"Huh?" Hyunmi looked puzzled.
Seokjin got all red, "Yeah, sorry Hyunmi. I just wanted to spend time with you, Chaeyong."
"It's fine," Hyunmi laughed.
"So, Chaeyong?" Seokjin looked over at her, hopeful, "Will you go out with me?"
"Yes!" Chaeyong let out without hesitation as if it was the most stupid and most beautiful question she ever heard.
Seokjin nodded with a smile, "Great." And went to go sit down in her assigned seat.
"You're so lucky to be dating a boy like Seokjin! I always knew you'd end up with someone as handsome as him," Hyunmi smiled sweetly.
Chaeyong blushed and sat back down on her desk. She was so shocked. She couldn't believe it. Chaeyong had loved Seokjin for so long and...Oh my God...I'm his girlfriend.
