WEDNESDAY । 1530HRS । ST. THOMAS HOSPITAL, WESTMINSTER
"Welcome to the club, kiddo." David welcomed Jean as he pats her shoulder in comfort.
Rose smiled at her and nodded at what David have said.
"You should meet everyone at the Scotland yard." Rose said to Jean as she came back to the body, putting it in a container for preservation.
"Oh yeah. This is not our crime laboratory; this is just temporary just for dead bodies." David added as he arranged his things and put it in his bag. Jean nodded at them and helped Rose.
David looked at Jean with curiosity, Jean being too quiet.
"Loosen up, Jean. We are not your usual workers who's too strict." David comforted her as he was done fixing his things and leaned his left hip at the table beside him.
When Rose and Jean were finished putting a body in a container, Rose looked at Jean and smiled to let her uneasiness pass away.
"You are going to like it here at this part of the investigation and for more investigations to come." Rose added as she puts her hands at Jean's shoulders and grinned.
"I know, but is this really just the work of Forensics?" Jean asked Rose as she looked up very worried.
"Well...Don't worry, it's not just these." Rose answered as she removed her hands away Jean's shoulders and proceeded to David's side.
"What do you mean?" Jean asked as she was curious by she meant.
David and Rose just looked at each other and returned to her with a wide grin.
"You'll soon find out, if you come with us right now." David and Rose said in unison as they look at Jean expectantly.
WEDNESDAY । 1600HRS । SCOTLAND YARD, WESTMINSTER
"Guys, I would like you to meet Jean, our new forensic officer." Rose introduced Jean while they were standing in front of the crowd, gathering up everyone at the Forensic Department to welcome the recruit.
Jean took a timid step forward and bowed at them.
"Hi." Jean shyly introduced herself as she was fiddling her fingers and sweating profusely.
Everyone clapped at her and smiled that made Jean sighed in relief because she made a good impression.
But she didn't satisfy all of them, some are looking at her with incredulity and some are pointing and whispering at each other; disbelief that someone like her is a part of the forensic team.
"Seriously? I didn't know that we are already hiring kids in this part of our job." Morgan sneered at them as he walked towards the front of the crowd, looking at them with arrogance that made everyone in the room quiet and very uneasy.
"She is not a kid; her age is 24 years old." David defended her as he gently pushed Jean towards his back and glared at Morgan.
Morgan just snorted and looked at Jean up and down as he raised his left eyebrow in suspicion.
"Whatever you say. I rather talk to our chief about these matters than you." Morgan replied deadpanned as he walked out of the room with one last skeptical look thrown at Jean.
As Morgan walked out of the room, the crowd surrounding Jean, Rose and David slowly dispersed and gone back to the halted work.
The chatter came back as Rose looked at Jean to see if she was okay while David glared at spot where Morgan has gone to.
"Don't mind him, he's just an asset wannabe around here. I don't even know hes still here." Rose comforted Jean but bad mouthed Morgan to make her feel better.
