  BANG.

"Motherfu--," I start only to be interrupted by a loud and sharp "Language!!".

"I swear I'd hit you with this book if it weren't so old and valuable," I tell Jack who's grinning smugly and sitting on the end of the table.

"If it's so 'old and valuable', then why is your drool all over it?" he replies, his dumbass smug grin growing wider still. I swear I'm five seconds from slapping it off his stupid smug dumb grin off his stupid smug dumb face. Hmph.

That is until I finally look down at my book and realize I'd fallen asleep reading and it was a wrinkled, drool covered mess. I shouted and immediately went about cleaning it up and trying to salvage the book. As I ran around fixing things and attempting to save it, I gave Jack a swift kick to the shin.

"Have I missed breakfast?" I asked over his howls of pain. I swear, he sounded like Tom when he gets hit. You know, the cat that chases Jerry. Nevermind.

"Your Royal Fatness has not missed any meals today," He replied, then at a way lower volume continued with, "But you could totally stand to lose some.. Oh wait, you don't stand. You only sit."

It's safe to say his face will take awhile to heal after that. Fucker.

Fast forward an hour and I'm ranting to Emma about what Jack said. "You aren't even that big!!" she exclaims, "I mean, you're a little mushy, but nothing bad!"

"I know right!! And you wouldn't believe how I responded, but I just got so mad I couldn't help it!" and I told her alllll about my little Jack attack. As we laughed about everything that happened, she suddenly stopped. I began asking her questions but she just shushed me and slunk into some shadows. I followed behind her and found what she was looking at. A shadrahk. In the tunnels.

After following it for a little while longer we found that it lead to a little cove and in the cracked walls of the cove, we found marion after marion occasionally with a folded up shadrahk crammed into a crevice. Well. I didn't know what this meant, but I did know that Emma looks sufficiently panicked.

"We have to tell Father Ka," she declared in a grave voice near a whisper. Immediately we bolted down the halls and made our way to his main office, splitting up and taking many wrong turns to throw off anything following us. You know, just in case.

Finally we reach the office around the same time as each other and burst in without knocking and find that we've rather startled poor old Father Ka. He begins asking us questions and I take a seat as Emma hushes him and explains in a frenzy everything which we saw. He listens intently, with an extremely guarded expression that doesn't let a single emotion slip through.

At the end, he sighs and says he'll handle it, which is kind of super worrying considering he's however old and blind I mean c'mon. Emma sends me a solemn nod and we spend the rest of the time in my room. We decide not to tell Jack, who's probably already sound asleep considering what time of night it is, or at least that I think it is. Eventually we too fall asleep.
