I never did believe in old superstitions and most religions. But I found out that reincarnation has truth to it. See it all started on my way home one day. There was nothing out of the ordinary, no dark skies or anything like that. I was just with my family driving down the road. Then I feel nothing below my neck, just this emptiness where my body was.
This took all of my focus for the event that took body away from me. Another car running a red light crashed into us. The point of impact was the back right side where I was seated. The rest of the story is a blur for awhile. Just the face of my mother, sister, or brother looking over me. Thinking about it I'm pretty sure I went into an ambulance and was admitted into a hospital.
Doctors were doing something to me. They were working on my back so I couldn't see but with my predicament I believe they were working on my neck. Slowly I felt weaker and weaker as the doctors started rushing to keep me alive. Then I felt nothing and heard a single noise. Something I hoped to not hear for some time since my father's passing. I heard the sound of a heart monitor flatlined.
I was devastated and confused. I was dead but I knew I was dead and could hear it. Then something very odd happened that lead to my newest predicament. I felt a heartbeat. It wasn't my own as I could feel it beneath where my head laid. I could hear noises but could not for the life of - uhh bad time to use that saying, but I could not understand it. Then I opened my eyes and we have the present moment.
A woman was holding me that I did not recognize. Putting aside the obvious question on how is she holding me I decided to see what was going on and figure out what was going on. All that she wore was a hospital gown but all I could look at was her silver hair and a more prominent feature that I thinks helps point me as to where I am at. The woman's eyes that were normal by most standards unless you knew what to look for. She had silver eyes.
"Hi how are you?" the woman asks me in a somewhat pained voice and not expecting a response. Kinda wish I could give one though, would've been funny. I hear another voice start talking but I choose to instead focus on the woman.
Her hair was brown color and was set in a long braid. She wore an easy going smile as she looked at me. At first glance you wouldn't catch it but there is also a trace of a scar by her left ear running by her eye.
My examination is cut short when I am handed to a man. He had dark brown hair that was almost a black color and unlike the woman was in more than a hospital gown. He wore a blue shirt with the left sleeve being covered by a silver plating with tan shorts that appeared to have bullet casings on it. His face had some stubble on it but what got me confused was his last prominent feature, least to someone like me. Like the woman his eyes were silver.
"Welcome to the world young man. I expect big things from you." The man says. I attempted to voice my confusion with a what. All I got to come out was something I couldn't understand. Then I realized what had happened and one thought crossed my mind. What. The. Hell.
