Passports and Plane Tickets

"Arabella we are gonna miss our flight if you don't hurry up" I hear Rose say from outside the bathroom door.
" I'm trying goddam it, let me just put my clothes on" I say rolling my eyes.
" Fine but don't get so mad when you can't go to your dream city" she says in a taunting tone.
" Well that's not happening so let's go" I say as I walk out the door and grab her hand pulling her into the room and quickly putting on a bit of make up to look presentable. I put my hair in a messy ponytail and fix the strings of my grey hoodie. There was need to dress up for the airport, we were probably gonna end up looking dead after we get off anyways.
"Keys?" Check.
"Passports?" Check.
"Plane tickets?" check.
"ID cards?" Check.
"Laptops?" Check.
"Headphone?" I said looking in my bag, not check, what the hell I can't leave the most essential item here. I walk over to my dresser and open a couple drawers to see if I can find a new pair of headphones. I opened my iPhone box to see if there were any headphones that I didn't use and destroyed already, and surprisingly enough there were. Alright back to checking.
"Phones" check.
"Suitcases" check.
"Purses" check.
"Another hoodie in case it gets cold on the plane" check.
"We are ready to go" I said to Rose smiling.
"About damn time" she mumbles and rolled her eyes as she gets off the bed and walks out the door making sure to grab her bags and essentials.
" Uber's outside right?" I ask her.
" Yep, so let's hurry up, I can't wait any longer" she replies smiling from ear to ear.

I swiped my credit card and tipped the driver and walked out. Rose and I walk to the back and take out our bags from the truck. Thanks for the ride we say and walk through the doors of the airport. It was already pretty chilly in here so I'm guessing we were gonna freeze on the plane. My stomach drops thinking about traveling alone to half way across the world without any adults. Wait I'm an adult. I think to myself, ugh but still I'm so nervous, i don't even know how the people there are, I don't know anything about the country in terms of attractions, but I'm sure I will manage considering I've got Rose by my side. I shrug my eerie thoughts and just try to enjoy my trip and time with my best friend.
" Our plane will be boarding at 10, so we have an hour to spare" Rose says after we've gone though security and bag check.
" Great, are you hungry? We can grab a sandwich before we get on" I reply.
" Sounds good to me" she says and walks ahead towards a Subway.
" So we are getting the usual" I ask.
" Of course" she says already standing in the line.
Once we get our sandwiches we walk towards the rest area and begin eating. We look around to see if people had started lining up to board.
"I think we should go on line so it's easier for us to walk through before everyone starts boarding" I say.
" Yeah you're right let's just go" She says as she takes the last bite of the sandwich.
"Alright so you have the boarding pass and passports with you right?" I ask.
"Oh my god Arabella can you relax, yes we have everything, what are you so nervous about, you've been on the edge since the morning" Rose says pissed off but still in a concerned tone.
" I don't know, it's just I have this feeling that something is gonna go wrong, I mean so far everything has been great but like there is something wrong I just can't put finger on it" I say looking around.
" you're just paranoid, nothing is gonna happen , we are going together so just don't worry about it, just think that when we get back we are going back to university which is a good enough reason to enjoy this trip because hell hole is just a month away" she says making me feel better instantly.
"You're right, I should just enjoy this trip and not worry too much or else I won't have fun" I say walking towards the plane entrance.
"Ah look at you finally using your brain, am I right" she says sarcastically while stifling her giggles.
"Shut the hell up" I say pushing her and not realizing there were people standing giving us dirty looks.
"Sorry" Rose says to the people behind her, before turning to me "bitch I'm gonna kill you".
I just chuckle knowing she loves me too much to do anything, "yeah sure, that's what you said when I ate your pizza but look I'm still here" I say to her with a wicked grin.
"You piss me off ya know that" she says.
"I know" I reply.
" Excuse me everyone! Please have your boarding passes ready! We are now boarding the plane!" I hear the flight attendant call out.
" I guess this is it" I say trying to to scream out of joy"
" I'm so excited" Rose says grabbing my hand and squeezing really hard.
"Ouch be careful hoe I'm fragile" I say to her.
" yeah fragile" she says squeezing my hand harder.
"Just get on the damn plane Rose before they kick us out of the airport" I say to her pushing her forward.
We show the flight attendant our boarding passes and she directs us to our seats. We walk over and put our bags above in the compartment.
"I CALL WINDOW" I yell pushing Rose to the side.
" NO MOVE I WANT WINDOW" she says trying to sit down.
"Hell no I say as I take the seat"
"Fine but just know once we get to our hotel you're sleeping on the couch" she says folding her arms and sitting in the isle seat.
" we'll see about that" I say smirking at her.
"I swear Arabella if you dare be a bitch again I'm gonna actually break your hand this time" She says rolling her eyes.
" I love you" I say laughing.
We wait for the flight attendant to finish her safety speech so we can use our headphones. Once that's done I began to feel the airplanes take off. I just hope everything goes well, I think to myself looking out the window to see the city of New York get smaller and smaller until it can't be seen.
