Austin's P.O.V.
I was running in wolf form along with my best friend and future Beta, Clark, and the Beta to the Tempest Pack.
'This was the last pack so she has to be here...' I thought to myself.
'Or maybe she isn't... maybe she's hiding from us...' My wolf, Knox, growled lowly at the thought of her hiding.
'No she wouldn't do that ev-' I was cut off by the most succulent scent i ever smelt.
'MATE!' Knox howled happily. Finally i was going to get the one person that will love me for me, and not my title as next Alpha of White Eclipse. I ran in the direction the scent was coming from but as i was about to get there i smelt a vampire. 'Kill the vampire! Save mate!!'
I attacked the female vampire that was by my mate, when my mate shifted and attacked me! I growled warningly at my mate as she went over to the vampire and whimpered at it. The vampire stood up slowly and petted my mate on the head calming her.
The vampire calmed my mate when that was my job. Hell the vampire shouldn't touch my mate after what they did to my mother when i was still a pup. I felt Knx's anger become worse as more wolves appeared and surrounded the vampire.
'Kill...' Knox growled at me. 'Kill vampire... Protect mate... Mate...' He whimpered when he said mate.
"SHIFT!!!!" A booming voice growled causing me to wince slightly, he was the Alpha of Tempest.
I shifted and saw how the female wolves in the pack looked at my with lust in there eyes. I felt disgusted.
"Kendra take Dante and the omegas back to the pack house now..." The Alpha said to the vampire.
"My Luna won't go with that-that thing..." Clark growled and i felt pride for my Beta trying to protect his Luna.
"Dante is this true? Are you mated to this Alpha?" The Alpha asked gently, that's when i realized it. I was mated to his daughter. Dante didn't say a word, just looked at the ground, with no emotion. "I asked if he's your mate?!" He roared with anger and everyone jumped, even my little mate. "Is he or isn't he?!?!" He roared again. She had tears in her eyes and slowly nodded her head, when the vampire put her arm around Dante's shoulder and held her close.
"Dante go back to the pack house with the omegas, i'll help your father finish up here..." The vampire, Kendra i think, said to Dante, and she nodded with tears still brimming her eyes.
The omegas flocked my mate to the point where i couldn't see her anymore and they left just like i wasn't there. I looked longingly as she walked away, and felt my wolf call out for her own, wanting, begging, them to run to our side, and never leave us.
"Please let me have my mate... and in return the Console will forgive... your inaugurations." I said no liking how the words tasted in my mouth.
"How is loving my mate wrong?" He growled and then i knew the stories were true, the once great Alpha of the Tempest Pack's mate was a vampire.
"Because you once said that they were nothing but scum on this earth then you betray your own kind for some bloodsucker? Oh and what about the fact that your daughter isn't your mate's. The one thing that she was to carry was taken away from her? Huh?" My wolf growled taking over and the bloodsucker just smirked.
"Then it seems you don't know the real story young wolf." She said laughing slightly. "Come. Let's go to the pack house, Dante will be waiting for our arrival." She said then walked west deeper into the territory.
