Maya woke up by the sunlight seeping through the curtains hanging in front of the windows. It lit up the whole room.
She yawned, ran a hand through her messy hair and was confused for a split second. Where was she?
Then she remembered yesterday, and she smiled widely at the thought of being back with her friends. It was probably early, she thought as she tiptoed her way downstairs. She heard soft mutters and low mumbles in the room she passed, so she walked a bit back to listen to it.
"Oh, poor mistress, if only she would knew... all those mudbloods and bloodtraitors walking through her house... poor Kreacher can't stand the young masters." The low, raspy voice mewled.
Suddenly, the door flew open. It was a house elf. He was gray and had a big nose, in an n. "Oh, a new mistress. How pleasant to meet you." The house elf bowed down until his nose met the wooden floor.
"All those mudbloods." He muttered under his breath. "Hello. I am Maya Malfoy." Maya forced a smile and waved. "Malfoy... I've known them, so that my mistress... I heard this one is a blood traitor..." the house elf mumbled.
"I am Harry's friend." She continued, tilting her head slightly. "Kreacher is glad to meet you.." the house elf mumbled. "Good morning." Harry smiled. "Good morning." Maya smiled, turning around slightly.
"Kreacher isn't very fond of us." Harry laughed, watching the house elf shuffle away, muttering things under his breath. "So I noticed." Maya smiled.
The morning was very chaotic, as Harry and Ron had to pack some books last-minute. Of course, Hermione and Maya already packed, and so they helped the boys looking for everything.
"Ronald Weasley!" Molly's voice boomed from downstairs. "Time to go!" Hermione and Maya rushed to their bedroom to grab their trunks.
"To the car!" Arthur announced as they all walked to two cars. A huge, black dog barked and pushed his nose against Harry's thigh.
"Padfoot! What are you doing?" Moody grumbled as the black dog jumped in the car as well. Maya smiled and quickly petted his head before going to the other car, sinking down next to Ginny.

"Thank you for everything." Maya hugged Molly and earned a warm smile. "Be careful Harry, dear." Molly said sternly, hugging him. "I will." Harry smiled.
He felt two paws on his shoulder and smiled at Sirius. "Bye, snuffles. I'll write you." He whispered, stroking his head quickly. Fred and George helped Maya put her trunk in the express.
Harry quickly got into the train and said bye to Hermione and Ron. "Where are they going?" Maya frowned, walking with Harry looking for an empty compartment. "To the prefects compartment." Harry shrugged. "Oh, right." Maya nodded.
"Come on, Ginny. Sit with us!" She gestured to an empty compartment and they sat down. As the girls chatted with each other, Harry stared out of the window. "Hello, Harry." Cho Chang passed and smiled at him.
Harry felt his stomach flip and smiled back. A familiar boy stumbled in the compartment as well. "Hi Neville." Maya smiled. "Can I sit here? It's mostly full and-" "sure." Maya nodded.
"Hello." The dreamy voice of Luna Lovegood rang through the compartment. "Luna!" Maya grinned. It was a mystery for Harry why, but Maya was very fond of Luna. "You can sit here." Maya suggested, referring to the empty seat next to her own.
"Hey, folks." Beau stuck his head inside of their compartment and Maya waved. "Hey." She grinned. "I was just stopping by." He shrugged as she asked if he wanted to sit down. "Your brother is looking for you." He commented, before taking off.
