Melissa's Secret ~ Chapter 7 P 1

Aphmau's POV

I had just gotten of work and decided to walk through the town. The sky was cloudless, except for a few strays, and air was crisp and refreshing. The air smelled like fresh bread, most likely from the bakery, and various perfumes. Damn those ladies, they always spray the stuff in my face.

The only thing that I didn't enjoy about walking through town were the comments from certain men I got. I'd considered calling Aaron to walk with me, but he's been busy at work lately. I'm not to sure why, we haven't made any plans to save up for. I guess only time will tell.

While walking home after stopping by various shops, I decided to stop by the cafe for a quick snack. I know I've been telling myself to cut down on the sweets, but I've been walking around all day. Besides, no ones going to know.

I opened the door and heard a bell ring above, as a friendly woman waved me over to the counter. "Hi, and welcome to HoneyBrew, what can I get you lass?" She said in a thick Irish accent. "Oh, I'll take a chocolate muffin and some vanilla tea, please." I said while glancing over the menu.

She put in the order and gave the total. After paying she said to wait a few minutes until she was called. While waiting I picked a two-chair spot next to the windows. I pulled out a book I've been interested in lately and was about to read, until I heard a familiar voice a few tables over.

I glanced up and saw Melissa sitting at a table with a girl who had curly, golden blonde hair. Even from far away I could make out her shiny blue eyes. They were both dressed casually, and by they way Mellissa had a goofy grin on, I was guessing it wasn't business. I was thinking they were just good friends.

They then both got up and were walking out. Then something happened.

Melissa leaned in.

So did the other girl.

They kissed.

I guess they aren't just friends

"APHMOO" A man behind the corner yelled. Seriously, how hard is it to pronounce my name. Bad news though, Melissa finally noticed me sitting there and grew flustered.She said goodbye to mystery girl and came towards me, grabbing my food on the way.

She sat down across from me and handed me my treats. We just sat there in silence for a few moments before she cleared her throats and said.

"Well, let me explain."
