The alarm went off and I reached to snooze it again. Why did school have to start-off this early in the morning, why couldn't they just start it around noon. The worst thing about school was not algebra, science or even the bullies, it was not even the stupid cafeteria food, it was waking up. Waking up for school is the most difficult thing any student has to do. I got up with great adversity and did my morning tasks. It was 30 minutes before I was ready to leave (not mentally ready, how can anyone ever be ready to go to school?)

My school was not very huge. The building that contained classrooms was really tall for a school it was 6 storey-tall structure and thanks to my luck, I a guy with acrophobia had his class on the top floor. I mean what were the odds?

"1 in 6", said Cassie "those are the odds. It is actually pretty simple to calcu-"

"Oh please Cassie I it was just an expression can't we leave it at that?" Cassie was a bit of a know it all and like any other 'Know it all' she loved to brag about it and everyone one else hated it.

She was 5 ft 7 in height. With a not too slim, not too fat body. She had brown eyes which matched the colour of the freckles on her face and she had blonde hair.

"Well I try to help some of my stupid classmates once in awhile",replied Cassie.

"I am not stupid." I complained. I wish I had a better comeback but I did not feel like doing anything in the mornings.

I leaned against the railing in an attempt to look cool and carefree which was stupid and so unlike me as I was scared of heights. The bottom of the railing was chipped and barely attached to the floor which was another reason I should not have done this. The railing obviously chose that moment to break and I fell. What were the chances of me falling from the top floor? Despite the fact that I was falling I was glad that Cassie wasn't there to educate me on basic probability. Adrenaline rushed through me I screamed like a screamer (if you are wondering what that means; screamers are people who can scream really loud).

I was about 30 metres away from the ground when I stopped falling. It was like I was glued to the air. I tried to move towards the ground which seems stupid because a few seconds ago when I was falling that was the exact thing I did not want to happen. But this time I descended, slowly. Then I lost concentration and instead of descending I started going back up. I somehow managed to regain my concentration through my haze of fear and confusion and I slowly started nearing the ground again and finally touched down. Startled faces of students and teachers from all around gawked at me. I could fly. I could literally fly!
